Teaching aims：
1.Knowledge aim：
Enable the Ss to grasp the phrases :family,everyone,cooking.
The sentences:
He / She likes….
Does he / she like… Yes,he / she does.
2. Ability aim：Can talk about the hobbies correctly.
3．Emotion aim：
Make the Ss understand their family’s hobbies.
Main and difficult points:
The use of “like doing….”
Teaching materials :
tape recorder ; some cards and pictures.
Teaching steps :
Step 1 Warm up
1.Greeting.
2. Let’s chant: What’s your hobby
Step 2 Reviewing
1.To review the phrases: playing chess,collecting stamps,taking pictures, swimming,listening to music,playing basketball….
2. To review the sentences:
What’s your hobby I like…
He / She likes….
The teacher asks a boy: “What’s your hobby ”
The boy answers: “I like…”Then the teacher points to the boy and speaks to the other Ss: “He likes….”
3. Play a game----Ask and answer “What’s your hobby ” one by one.
Step 3 Presentation
1. To learn the new words and sentences.
1) Put the picture on the blackboard,point to the picture and introduce: “This is Sally’s family. This is Sally’s father.This is Sally’s mother. This is Sally’s brother,Ben.This is Sally’s sister,Kate.”
2) Review the words: “father,mother,brother,sister,family”.Then to learn “everyone” and “In my family everyone has a hobby.”
3) To learn “My father likes taking pictures.My mother likes cooking.
My brother likes collecting toy cars.My sister likes collecting stamps.”
a) To learn the text.
b) Listen to the tape,read after the tape.
c) Listen to the tape,and answer the questions.

Step 4 Consolidation
1. Do a survey.
