Encourage the Ss to cultive more interesting and hobbies.
Main points:
Talk about “What’s your hobby I like…. .”
Difficult points:
The use of “V.+ing”
Teaching materials :
tape recorder ; some cards and pictures.
Teaching steps :
Step 1 Warm up
1.Chant together:Sports Day.
2.Make a chant by themselves:
Run,run,run,run 100 meters.
Swim,swim,swim,swim in the sea.
Play,play,play,play basketball.
Take,take,take,take a picture.
…..
3.Show the cards: “run 100 meters,take pictures,swim,play basketball,play football…”Make the Ss say and act.
4.Show the flags of “America,England,China,Australia”,Make the Ss say their countries’ English names.
Step 2 Presentation
1. To learn the words : Australian ,American.

2. To learn the sentences.

3. To learn the text.
Point to the picture and ask:Who are they

T: Please find out the sentences about their hobbies.
1)Listen to the tape,and point to the sentences.
2)Listen to the tape and repeat.
Step 3 Consolidation
1.Finish off“ Look and Say” on page 50.
2.Let’s chant: What’s your hobby
3.Ask and answer:
Do you like collecting CDs / stamps / toy cars…
Do you like playing chess / basketball / football…
Do you like…..
Yes,I do. / No, I don’t.
Step 4 Homework
1.Listen to the tape and read the dialogues.
2.Finish off the activity book.
3.Do a survey:
