Teaching materials : tape recorder ; some caps of the policemen,
nurses and workers;some cards and caps of jobs.
Teaching steps :
Step 1 Warm-up/ Review
1. To review the word “teacher,student.”
2. To review the sentences:I’m a teacher / student.I want to …
Step 2 Learn to say
1.The teacher shows the caps and make the Ss guess“What job is it for ”
2.The teacher shows the picture of the jobs and make the Ss to learn them.
3.Practise the words.
4.Listen to the tape and repeat.
5.To learn the sentences: What is he / she He / She’s a …
Let four Ss put on the caps,the teacher asks “What is he / she ”.Make the whole class answer” He / She’s a …”
6.Practise in groups.
Step 3 Ask and answer
1. The teacher asks,and the Ss answer:
What do you want to be I want to be a …
2. Listen to the tape.
3.Ask and answer in pairs.
Step 4 Do a survey.
Ask your Ss “What do you want to be ”then record the numbers of each job.
Step 5 Homework
Listen to the tape & repeat for some times .
