To demand Ss to hear and speak these sentences correctly:
We often help each other.
Chen Ling often helps me with my Chinese.
I often teach her English.
II.Teaching materials :
tape recorder ; some cards
III.Teaching steps :
Step 1 Warm-up/ Review
Greeting and sing a song “ The Music Room”
Review the sentences: I’m worried about my math. Don’t worry. I can help you with your math. But I’m worried about my English.
T: Today we’re going to learn Lesson 4. It’s about helping each other.
Teach: each other---helping each other
Step 2 Learn to say
1.We often help each other. I teach her English.
2.I teach him/ her…
3. Chant: I help you. You help me.
We often help each other.
I teach you English. You teach me Chinese.
He helps her. She helps him.
They often help each other.
He teaches her math. She teaches him music.
Step 3 Practice
Ask the Ss to look and say with the teacher
Divide the Ss into two groups to act out the two dialogs
Ask two Ss to act out the dialogs for some times .
Step 4 Look and say
Listen to the tape & look at the English books and point to the pictures.
Listen to the tape again & repeat.
Step 5 Listen and circle the right answer.
Learn to write on page 16.
Step 6 Homework
Listen to the tape & repeat for some times .
Finish off the activity book of this Lesson .
