To demand Ss to hear and speak these sentences correctly:
Mammals give birth to their young.
They look like fish, but they are mammals.
They feed their babies with milk.

III.Teaching steps :
Step 1 Warm-up/ Review
Sing a song “ Old MacDonald Had a Farm”
T: What animals do you like
Cat, dog, duck, fish, frog, hen, lion, monkey, pig, rabbit, rooster,bird, cow, horse, sheep, zebra, crocodile, panda, bear, kangaroo, penguin, elephant, turkey.
Do you know what animals I like
Step 2 Learn to say
Mammal----Dogs, monkeys and tigers are mammals.
Whale----It’s a whale.
Whales---They are whales.
Bat---T: Are bats mammals, too Bats look like birds, but they are mammals.
Baby,babies, give birth to, feed …with…
Mammals: They give birth to their young.
They feed their babies with milk.
Step 3 Practice
Ask the Ss to look and say with the teacher
Divide the Ss into two groups to act out the two dialogs
Ask two Ss to act out the dialogs for some times .
判断下列句子正、误：

Step 4 Look and say
Listen to the tape & look at the English books and point to the pictures.
Listen to the tape again & repeat.

Step 6 Homework
Listen to the tape & repeat for some times .
Finish off the activity book of this Lesson .
