To demand Ss to hear and speak these sentences correctly:
I’ll buy her a handbag.
I’ll give her some flowers.

tape recorder ; some cards
III.Teaching steps :
Step 1 Warm-up/ Review
1.Listen and sing the song “ Hickory Dickory Dock”
2.Review: coat, sweater, hat, jacket, T-shirt, bag, watch, flower, card.
3.Review: New Year, Spring Festival, Mother’s Day, Children’s Day./Father’s Day
Step 2 Learn to say
T: Do you love your father Do you love your mother What will you do on Mother’s Day Today we’re going to learn Unit 5 Shopping for Mother’s Day.
Learn new words: dress, shopping center, handbag, watch.
Learn new sentences: I’ll buy her a handbag. I’ll give her some flowers.
Learn part 1 .
Step 3 Practice
Ask the Ss to look and say with the teacher
Divide the Ss into two groups to act out the two dialogs
Ask two Ss to act out the dialogs for some times .
Answer questions: What will Dad/Sally/Ben/Kate buy
Step 4 Look and say
on page42
Listen to the tape & look at the English books and point to the pictures.
Listen to the tape again & repeat.
Step 5 Make a card for your mother.
Read a poem.
Step 6 Homework
Listen to the tape & repeat for some times .
Finish off the activity book of this Lesson .
