Step 1 Warm-up/ Review
Free talk: What do you usually have for breakfast/lunch/dinner
What did you have for breakfast this morning
What’s your favorite food
…
Poem: Mother’s Day
Review: Food/Drinks/Fruit
Step 2 Learn to say
T: Today is Mother’s Day. The Millers are at a nice restaurant. They want to have dinner here. What do they want to eat Let’s learn unit 6 At a Restaurant.
Teach new words: soup, roast, beef, potato, salad
Soup/soap (chicken soup, meat soup), potato/potatoes( potato/tomato),
Vegetable salad, potato/ apple salad
ready, order
Are you ready to order
Now listen to the tape. Then tell me what the waitress says.
Listen to the tape two times and fill in the blanks:
Food Drinks Soup Fruit
Step 3 Practice
Ask the Ss to look and say with the teacher
Divide the Ss into two groups to act out the two dialogs
Ask two Ss to act out the dialogs for some times .
Step 4 Look and say
Listen to the tape & look at the English books and point to the pictures.
Listen to the tape again & repeat.
Step 5 Read a poem on page 52.
Teach new words: seed, plant, fun, bring, Halloween, jacko’-lantern.
Step 6 Homework
Listen to the tape & repeat for some times .
Finish off the activity book of this Lesson .
