第二部分
阅读理解(共两节,满分40分)
第一节(共15小题;每小题2分,满分30分)
阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出最佳选项。
A
When
I
was
about
12,
I
had
an
enemy,
a
girl
who
liked
to
point
out
my
shortcomings
(缺点).
Week
by
week
her
list
grew:
I
was
very
thin,
I
wasn’t
a
good
student,
I
talked
too
much,
I
was
too
proud,
and
so
on.
I
tried
to
hear
all
this
as
long
as
I
could.
At
last,
I
became
very
angry.
I
ran
to
my
father
with
tears
in
my
eyes.
He
listened
to
me
quietly,
and
then
he
asked,
“Are
the
things
she
says
true
or
not
Janet,
didn’t
you
ever
wonder
what
you’re
really
like
Well,
you
now
have
that
girl’s
opinion.
Go
and
make
a
list
of
everything
she
said
and
mark
the
points
that
are
true.
Pay
no
attention
to
the
other
things
she
said.”
I
did
as
he
told
me.
To
my
great
surprise,
I
discovered
that
about
half
the
things
were
true.
Some
of
them
I
couldn’t
change
(like
being
very
thin),
but
a
good
number
I
could—and
suddenly
I
wanted
to
change.
For
the
first
time
I
got
a
fairly
clear
picture
of
myself.
I
brought
the
list
back
to
Daddy.
He
refused
to
take
it.
“That’s
just
for
you,”
he
said.
“You
know
better
than
anyone
else
the
truth
about
yourself.
But
you
have
to
learn
to
listen,
not
just
close
your
ears
in
anger
and
feel
hurt.
When
something
said
about
you
is
true,
you’ll
find
it
will
be
of
help
to
you.
Our
world
is
full
of
people
who
think
they
know
your
duty.
Don’t
shut
your
ears.
Listen
to
them
all,
but
hear
the
truth
and
do
what
you
know
is
the
right
thing
to
do.”
Daddy’s
advice
has
returned
to
me
at
many
important
moments.
In
my
life,
I’ve
never
had
a
better
piece
of
advice.
21.
What
did
the
father
do
after
he
had
heard
his
daughter’s
complaint
A.
He
refused
to
take
the
list
and
have
a
look
at
it.
B.
He
told
her
not
to
pay
any
attention
to
what
her
“enemy”
had
said.
C.
He
was
angry
and
told
her
to
overcome
her
shortcomings.
D.
He
told
her
to
write
down
all
and
pay
attention
only
to
the
things
that
were
true.
22.
What
does
“Week
by
week
her
list
grew”
mean
A.
Week
by
week
she
discovered
and
pointed
out
more
shortcomings
of
mine.
B.
She
kept
on
adding
new
ones
to
the
list
so
it
was
growing
longer
and
longer.
C.
I
was
having
more

time
went
on.

C
Scott
Fitzgerald,
born
on
September
24,1896,
an
American
novelist,
was
once
a
student
of
St.
Paul
Academy,
the
Newman
School
and
attended
Princeton
University
for
a
short
while.
In
1917
he
joined
the
army
and
was
posted
in
Alabama,
where
he
met
his
future
wife
Zelda
Sayre.
Then
he
had
to
make
some
money
to
impress
her.
His
life
with
her
was
full
of
great
happiness,
as
he
wrote
in
his
diary:
“My
own
happiness
in
the
past
often
got
such
joy
that
I
could
share
it
even
with
the
person
dearest
to
me
but
had
to
walk
it
away
in
quiet
streets
and
take
down
parts
of
it
in
my
diary.”
This
Side
of
Paradise,
his
first
novel,
was
published
in
1920.
Encouraged
by
its
success,
Fitzgerald
began
to
devote
more
time
to
his
writing.
Then
he
continued
with
the
novel
the
Beautiful
and
Damned
(1922),
a
collection
of
short
stories
Tales
of
the
Jazz
Age
(1922),
and
a
play
The
vegetable
(1923).
But
his
greatest
success
was
the
novel
The
Great
Catsby,
published
in
1925,
which
quickly
brought
him
praise
from
the
literary
world.
Yet
it
failed
to
give
him
the
needed
financial
security.
Then,
in
1926,
he
published
another
collection
of
short
stones
All
the
Sad
young
Men.
However,
Fitzgerald’s
problems
with
his
wife
Zelda
had
an
effect
on
his
writing.
During
1920s
he
tried
to
reorder
his
life,
but
failed.
By
1930,
his
wife
had
her
first
breakdown
and
went
to
a
Swiss
clinic.
During
this
period
he
completed
novels
Tender
Is
the
Night
in
1934
and
The
Love
of
the
Last
Tycoon
in
1940.
While
his
wife
was
in
hospital
in
the
United
States,
he
got
totally
addicted
to
alcohol.
Sheila
Graham,
his
dear
friend,
helped
him
fight
his
alcoholism.

Living
and
dealing
with
kids
can
be
a
tough
job
these
days,
but
living
and
dealing
with
parents
can
be
even
tougher.
If
I
have
learned
anything
in
my
16
years,
it
is
that
communication
is
very
important,
both
when
you
disagree
and
when
you
get
along.
With
any
relationship,
you
need
to
let
other
person
know
how
you
are
feeling.
If
you
are
not
able
to
communicate,
you
drift
apart.
When
you
are
mad
at
your
parents,
or
anyone
else,
not
talking
to
them
doesn’t
solve
anything.
Communication
begins
with
the
concerns
of
another.
It
means
that
you
can’t
just
come
home
from
school,
go
up
to
your
room
and
ignore
everyone.
Even
if
you
just
say
“Hi”
and
see
how
their
day
was
for
five
minutes,
it
is
better
than
nothing.
If
you
looked
up
the
word
“communication”
in
a
dictionary.
It
would
say
“the
exchange
of
ideas,
the
conveyance
(表达)of
information,
means
of
communication
such
as
a
letter
or
a
message”.
To
keep
a
good
relationship,
you
must
keep
communication
strong.
Let
people
know
how
you
feel,
even
if
it's
Just
by
writing
a
note.
When
dealing
with
parents,
you
always
have
to
make
them
feel
good
about
how
they
are
doing
as
a
parent.
If
you
are
trying
to
make
them
see
something
as
you
see
it,
tell
them
that
you’ll
listen
to
what
they
have
to
say,
but
ask
them
politely
to
listen
to
you.
Yelling
or
walking
away
only
makes
the
situation
worse.
This
is
an
example:
one
night,
Sophie
went
to
a
street
party
with
her
friends.
She
knew
she
had
to
be
home
by
midnight
after
the
fireworks,
but
she
didn’t
feel
she
could
just
ask
to
go
home.
That
would
be
rude.
After
all,
they
had
been
nice
enough
to
take
her
along
with
them.
Needless
to
say,
she
was
late
getting
home.
Her
parents
were
mad
at
first,
but
when
Sophie
explained
why
she
was
late,
they
weren’t
as
mad
and
let
the
incident
go.
Communication
is
the
key
factor
here.
If
Sophie’s
parents
had
not
been
willing
to
listen,
Sophie
would
have
been
in
a
lot
of
trouble.
Communication
isn’t
a
one-way
deal:
it
goes
both
ways.
Just
remember:
if
you
get
into
a
situation
like
Sophie’s,
tell
the
other
person
how
you
feel-listening
is
the
key
factor
to
communication.

Version
Dear
John,
I
hear
that
you
are
not
sure
about
becoming
an
artist
because
of
your
family’s
objections.
As
far
as
I
am
concerned,
you
should
stick
to
your
dream
and
try
to
become
an
artist.
For
one
thing,
it
has
been
your
dream
since
you
were
a
child.
For
another,
being
an
artist
doesn’t
necessarily
mean
that
you
can’t
have
a
stable
job
or
high
salary
to
support
yourself.
On
the
contrary.
If
you
try
your
best,
you
by
be
a
success
all
over
the
world.
In
addition,
being
an
artist
is
something
great,
as
artists
are
like
bridges
that
connect
human
and
nature.
I
hope
you
will
find
these
suggestions
useful.
I’m
looking
forward
to
your
reply.
Yours
