 单元分析
  内容提示
  本单元的教学核心项目是“描述人的外貌”(Describe People),涉及到讨论人的身高、体重、发型、面部特征及其着装等语言项目。教材内容围绕着描述人的外貌特点展开,让学生学会谈论人的身高、体重、发型、面部特征及着装特点,以人的外貌特征为主线,兼顾交际功能的学习,以一种循序渐进的生活化的学习程序,引导学生学会用英语介绍自己或他人的外表特征。这些内容与学生的实际生活密切相关,易于引发学生运用简单的英语进行交际和交流,所以在学习活动中,学生能通过交换对不同人物的描述及看法,促进学生之间和师生之间的情感交流,增进情谊。
  教学目标
  (一)语言知识目标:
  1. 语法:①look like的问句及回答。
   ②wear的一般现在时用法。
   ③用于宽泛描述的形容词。
  2. 词汇:
   .名 词:hair, height, build, captain, team, bit, joke, beard, glasses, look, singer, etc.
   .形容词:short, tall, medium, thin, heavy, blonde, brown, curly, straight, wise, popular, huge, teeny, etc.
   .动 词:wear, stop, remember, say, etc.
  3. 交际用语:What does he/she look like
         He/She is tall. He/She has curly hair.
         What do you/they look like
         I’m thin. /They’re medium height.
         Do you know David No./Yes.
  (二)语言技能目标:
   1.能熟练的用英语进行对人外表特点的描述,并根据描述画出人像。
   2.能概括人物的外貌特征并根据人物特征推理出某一人物。
   3.能替自己和别人进行新形象设计,能和合作伙伴互相交流,充分交换信息。
   4.能掌握本单元出现的表示人外观的词组及句型,并能结合实际生活进行灵活运用,用这些词组及句型描述别人的外表,提高写作水平。
  (三)情感态度目标:
   1.通过描述自己、同学、亲人、偶像的外貌,简单地表达自己的观点或好恶,学会交换不同的看法,使学生在人际交往中学会尊重和理解别人。
   2.教育学生要多发现别人的优点,学会赞美别人,友好地描述别人的形象。
   3.学会赏识,懂得心灵美比外表美更重要。
   4.能在小组活动中积极与他人合作,相互帮助,共同完成学习任务, 尽情享受学习的乐趣。
  (四)文化意识目标:
  了解不同人的外貌和同一人的不同外貌,了解在中西方文化中表达自己的观点时存在的差异,我们比较委婉,而西方人则比较直接些,对学生进行不同文化意识的渗透。同时让学生在给自己或别人画像时提高绘画水平和审美意识;让学生了解不同外貌作用的背景知识,实现跨学科交流的目的。
  教学重难点
  通过学习语言材料,让学生获得运用所学的有关词汇、短语及句型,描述人的外貌特征,并能结合实际生活进行灵活运用的能力。
  (一)重点:
   1. 词汇(The vocabulary).
   2. 句型:-What does he/she look like
        -He/She is tall.
        -What do you look like
        -I’m thin. I have short hair.
        -What do they look like
        -They’re medium height. They have long curly hair.
  (二)难点:
   1.has与is的正确使用。
   2.Wear的正确使用。
   3.描述人的外貌。
  教材分析
  本单元以What does he look like 为话题,共设计了三个部分的内容:
  一、Section A
    该部分有4个模块:
    1.第一模块围绕describe people’s appearance这一话题展开思维(1a)、听力(1b)、口语(1c)训练;
    2.第二模块继续围绕上一话题进行听力(2a-2b)、口语(2c)训练;
    3.第三模块围绕the descriptions of the four classmates这一话题展开训练,训练形式为阅读配对(3a)和角色表演(3b);
    4.第四模块仍就mystery student以Game的形式进行讨论,展开口语训练(4)。
  二、Section B
    该部分有4个模块:
    1.第一模块就the words and the pictures展开思维训练;
    2.第二模块就两个孩子的对话对Johnny Dean’s and Tina Brown’s jobs进行听力(2a-2b)、口语(2c)训练;
    3.第三模块围绕Johnny Dean’s New Look这一话题展开阅读(3a)训练,填空(3b)训练和写作(3c)训练;
    4.第四模块仍就what does he/she look like这一话题以口语训练形式为主展开小组活动(4)。
  三、Self Check
    该部分有3个模块:
    第一模块对所学词汇进行辨认训练(1);
    第二模块就词汇进行扩充训练(2);
    第三模块就一副图片展开描述和写作训练(3)。

第一课时
  教学目标
  I.知识目标:

  1.学完本课,学会描述人物外貌。

  掌握本课新单词、句型和怎样描述一个人的外貌。

  掌握正确运用have动词和be动词的描述人物外貌的方法。
  整体认知
  Section A从根据人的外貌特征找人,来呈现与此相关的形容词、短语(Activity 1a)到听力练习(Activity1b, 2a, 2b),到句型操练(Activity 1c,3,),语言目标层层递进,主要展示了重点句型:

  教学过程
  一、导入
  1.教师展示媒体资源课件中一副全家副的图片,进行简单的介绍。
中的
  2. 利用课件,教学一些单词。先带领学生朗读两遍,然后给学生们一些时间消化吸收。接着展示另一张图片,提问图片上的问题。

  3. 让学生描述自己的外貌,尽量多用刚刚学习的单词。
  二、教学SectionA-1a
  用班里的学生为例做下面的练习。
  1.what do you look like (point to S standing now)
    He is tall, and he has short hair.
  (板书tall, short hair.带读两遍)
  2.What does Tom look like (Point to two Ss)
  3.指着1a图片中的其他学生,教学下列单词(short hair/curly hair/long hair/straight hair/tall /short/medium height/thin/heavy/a medium build)。
  4.用卡片出示不同形象的人物图片与学生进行两两问答。

  5.出示一张与课本相同的图画,学生完成1a Match the words with the pictures.(帮助学生做出正确答案.)

  1. 听录音,播放两次。第一次,只听,重在文章大概内容。第二次,重在细节,完成1b的填空和问题。利用课件展示答案。

  利用学习指导中中学英语人教课标版7年级课后提高中的多媒体课件中的SectionA-2a,2b进行下列教学活动。

  1. 学生阅读课本上的句子,听第一遍录音,圈出is和has。教师引导学生总结is和has的用法。

  2. 教师再次播放录音,学生完成表格,教师核对答案。
  五、教学3
  学生观察书中的图片,对照对话,弄清楚要描述的人物是哪幅图片。然后对照对话内容和图片中人物的外貌特征,完成填空。教师叫几组学生将对话表演出来。比一比,看哪组表演的最好。
  六、教学拓展

  教学目标

  1.提高听读能力。
  2.能抓住人物的主要特征来描述人物的外貌。
  3.能概括人物的外貌特征并根据人物特征推理出人物。
  4.能和合作伙伴互相交流,充分交换信息,进行合作学习。
  III.情感目标:
  教育学生要多发现别人的优点,学会赞美别人,懂得心灵美比外表美更重要。
  (一)教学重点:
  掌握本课新单词和句型和熟练掌握描述人物外貌的方法。
  (二)教学难点:
  熟练掌握描述人物外貌的方法并成功地根据人物特征推理出某一人物。
  整体认知
  让学生学会描述人的外貌(Activity 3a),引出本单元的语法项目have动词、be动词和wear动词的用法,最后还有一个猜人游戏:Mystery Student(Activity4)以游戏的方式来检测学生对本部分单词和句型的掌握情况。
  教学过程
  一、复习
  1. 教师向学生展示一张自己十年前的照片,让学生猜照片上的人是谁。然后让学生描述照片上的人物,并比较十年前和现在的一些差别。
  2. 教师说: Now boys and gins,please take out your pictures(教师课前要求学生准备照片,从中找几张让其他同学来描述其外观形象)。
  说明: 通过学生感兴趣的话题,复习上节课的目标语言。
  二、导入
  1.教师展示一些关于人物外貌的图片,进行类似下列对话。

  2. 教学新词: beard, glasses, good-looking, a little fat, bit, brown.引导学生进行下列对话,尽量用上新学到的单词。

  利用学习指导中中学英语人教课标版7年级课后提高中的多媒体课件中的Grammar Focus进行语法讲解教学活动。
  四、教学SectionA-3a,
  1.(用课件展示1a部分的Picture 1)Introduction:This is my good friend,Liu Peng.Please describe him with your partener.
  (板书tall, curly, brown hair,a medium build)
  2.(课件出示3a中的Picture2)给学生下列提示(板书)然后进行描述。

  Likes:telling jokes
  Appearance: short,a little heavy,beautiful,long and black hair
  3. 出示课本图画a,b两部分让他们读后讨论回答:
  1)What does Ma Yan look like
  2)What about Wang Lin's appearance

  4.播放3a部分的语音,将图片和描述进行匹配。教师核对答案。
  五、SectionA-3b
  将给出的六个名字随意写在图中的六个人物旁,进行两两对话,通过描述,将对应的人物找出来。教师叫几组学生将对话的过程表演出来。

  模仿3b的对话模式,运用本课的目标语言,四人一组,一人随意描述一个人物,让其他学生猜测,轮流进行描述,争取每个人都有发言的机会。

  1.通过描述同学、自己、偶像的外貌,简单地表达自己的观点或好恶,学会交换不同的看法,使学生在人际交往中学会尊重和理解别人。

  Section B中的教学是在Section A的基础上展开的,不少知识点都是以旧带新,把所学的目标句型进行实际的综合运用。
  先以Activity 1a入手继续学习描述人的外貌特征的词和短语,再以Activity1b进行实际操练, Activity 2a,2b是一个综合的听力训练,用来展示学生的听力能力,并以听力内容为基础,通过Activity 2c中描述自己的偶像的外貌的练习实现英语交际的功能。
  教学过程
  一、复习
  让学生描述自己的同学,以班上的同学为例来描述其外观形象,但不说出该同学的名字,让其他同学猜测。

  1. 教师展示媒体资源课件上的图片,进行简单的描述。

  能在小组活动中积极与他人合作,相互帮助,共同完成学习任务, 尽情享受学习的乐趣。

  描述人物外貌特征和写作。

  听文画图,看图写文。
  整体认知
  Activity 3a通过比较Johnny Dean的前后照片培养学生的任务性阅读能力。Activity3b是根据提供的图片进行填空的写作练习。Activity 3c是一篇模仿写作,让学生写一篇描述他们喜欢的演员或音乐家外貌的短文。
  Self-check是课后自我表现检测,包括四个部分:
   1.检测本单元所学词汇。
   2.添加生词。

  一、复习
  教师提问Who is your favorite musician /actor /athlete 等问题,引导学生复习上节课的目标语言。
  二、教学SectionB-3a,3b
  1. 学生认真观察3a的两幅图片,然后提问:What did Johnny look like before /What does he look like now
  2. 学生带着问题认真阅读短文,然后完成3a表格。教师核对答案。
  3. 先观察图片,然后完成3b填空。教师核对答案。

  自己先画一副人物图片,不要把图片给其他同学看。而是通过自己语言上的描述,让其他学生画出这个人。比一比,看看谁画的最像。

  1.SelfCheck 1
  四人一小组教学selfcheck中1部分的单词,相互纠正发音,检查单词的拼写。利用第一部分中的单词,在班上快速轮流做句子,要求不能重复运用同一个句式。
  2.SelfCheek 2 Vocab-Builder
  a. 本单元在学习过程中,学生不可避免的运用到许多课本不曾出现的新单词,要求同学们将自己所掌握的新单词写出来。
  b. 以组为单位相互教学单词,组长汇总。
  c. 各组汇总结果在班上展示,由组长带领大家一起学习,这也是英语课外知识拓展的一个重要表现。

  学生认真观察图片,对图片中不同人物间的外貌进行描述,回答问题,力求让别人通过你的回答能够很轻松地找到你所描述的人物。
