本课是北师大版《初中英语》八年级上册教材第5单元的第14课,话题为互相帮助。
本课的教学设计分为两个课时。第一课时侧重对课文的理解,学生通过阅读,首先让学生辨别五种发生在学生中的行为,哪些是助人的行为,增强学生的是非观,正面引导作为学生如何做;随后通过阅读文本信息,获取主人公Amy在放学路上、在学校内发生了什么事件以及事件的结果。这是本文的中心事件。然后通过让学生对几个具体事件进行排序,以及完成句子,弄清了整个事件的具体过程;最后结合文本的信息和语言进行基于本课内容输出型活动。(初中新课标要求初二学生能从文章中找出有关信息,理解大意。能理解读物中的事件发生顺序和人物行为。)
