课题:Unit 6 Friends Part 3
教材分析说明:In part 3, acceding to introduce eight children in Britain, consolidate how to introduce friends. Pupils are trained to talk about one or more friends from many different aspects, such as friend’s name, age, favorite things, ect. However, it won’t be a tough task for them, cause’ pupils are familiar with the sentences “she/he is…; she/he likes…” in part one and two, and practice it as much as possible. So we can say that part three is a development of part one and part two. It enriches the sentences structures in the previous parts.
教学目标:1. Pupils can understand new words and phrases in the text: …years old; volleyball; names of sports groups or book.
2. Pupils can describe one of their friends from aspect of his/her name, age, birthday month and favorite things.
3. Pupils can search the information in short time and conclude all the information into form.
4. Pupils proficient in above three can try writing a short composition to introduce one or more friends.
教学重难点:1. Pupils can understand these eight short passage while reading; teacher should introduce some differences between western culture and Chinese culture.
2. Pupils can communicate and talk about their own friends by imitating the passages.

Let them guess how old they are and try to say the phrase: “…years old.” Take passage one as an example, supposing Harry were my friend, give pupils some Harry’s personal information. 3. Then ask pupils question about Harry.Draw a simple table and fill Harry’s information in the table. 4. Then introduce the new words and phrases among eight passages.Pupils try to read the passages and search for children’s information and then fill in the table. 1. throug looking photo lead in the topic in this part. And all the discussion goes around this photo. Pupils have words to say. 2.take passage one as an example, show some basic solution of reading. Teach pupils how to get the main idea of a passage. Let pupils to underline the key words in order to do the next steps.3. focus on the sentence structures. Give pupils same sentences in order that they can imitate to describe others.4. using the form of filling table is helpful to develop their ability of fast-reading. Meanwhile, for teacher, it’s an advantage of checking whether everyone understands the eight passages and grab the main idea and key information. T: Good morning boys and girls. Show photo.Introduce Harry to pupils.This is Harry.Guess how old is he S: he is eight T: no.S: he is nine.T: yes. You are right. Introduce other new phrases in other seven passages. Let pupils read the passage and underline key words to fill in the tables: As for the presentation of new words and phrases, if condition is permitted it’d better use more ways to lead in. such as, CIA, media ways.During practice, writing can be added into class if time is permitted. Western cultures can be introduced in this part. Such as the names of those famous groups. Western people’s enthusiasm on sports.
