一、学生分析
本人所任教的是重点班的学生,班内60位学生,在平常的学习中,能时时刻刻体现出对英语学习的热爱。一群思维敏捷、活泼好动、积极主动、表现欲望及求知欲望强烈的学生们,在老师的领导下,能大胆主动的陈述自己的意见和建议。因此,在这班级,英语教学开展很是令人满意。通过高一一年的学习,他们已经掌握了简单的英语学习策略和技巧,有一定的英语的听说读写能力,一定程度上接触和了解了西方国家的文化,懂得了一些中外文化差异,希望学习更多的科学文化知识。
二、教材分析
本节课是一节阅读新授课,它主要是以纽约曼哈顿的艺术画廊为话题,分别介绍了弗里克收藏馆、古根海姆博物馆、大都会艺术博物馆、现代艺术博物馆和惠特尼美国艺术博物馆等等。学生在了解了这些艺术画廊后,能用流利的英语介绍它们,进而对艺术产生热爱之情,陶冶情操、拓宽视野、了解更多知识。
三、教学目标
Knowledge objectives: 1) New Words: art gallery,avenue,circular,reputation,civilization,Egypt,reputation,appeal to, fragrant, fragile, preference, contemporary,permanent 2)Expressions of the five Art Galleries
Ability objectives: Listen and catch some key words and get the specific information ;Talk about their favorite art galleries and why they like it ;Read the passage ,using scanning,skimming;
Cultural awareness: Help the students know more about the art galleries in New York which they can not visit at present; Gain more knowledge about art and share art with others.

1. The teacher will give some key words to the students; they will be required to guess where she will go. Key words are following: 1) Manhattan, New York; 2) 5th Avenue. 3) Some modern paintings
; 4) A circular path.
2. Guide them to play the game.
Task 8 Discussion
Give a topic for the students to discuss in groups:If you have a chance to go to one of the five art galleries, where will you go ?
The students have five minutes to discuss in a group of six for five minutes. After that the teacher can choose some students to share their opinions with the whole class.
Task 9
Add up the marks for each group and declare the winner.

Task 7 Playing a guessing game

Prepare a pen and a piece of paper.
Guess where the teacher will go and write down the answer according to the key words.
Part 2
Five students will come to the platform to state their prepared material one by one .Then the other students can raise their hands to get the chance to answer the question. For the one who give the correct answer can get a point.

The students discuss the topic: If you have a chance to go to one of the five art galleries, where will you go?

反思
由于授课班级是重点班的学生,学生课堂气氛活跃,积极地发表他们的意见,他们表现出对本节课内容的喜爱,始终以饱满的精神状态贯穿于整节课。回顾我上课的过程,收获不少,有成功之处,也有值得需改进的地方。
本节课我觉得满意的几点:
一、备课充分。从选定材料后,我就认真钻研教材,确定了教学内容后,仔细研读文本,深入了解教材编排的特点、意图及文本折射出的深层次的内涵。对于山区的学生来说,说读听结合的课较难实施,但由于我总是用英文授课,学生也逐渐习惯了这种教学模式。课前先让学生预习相关的新单词,了解纽约这城市的艺术气息、文化氛围。我自己也不断的上网找资料,询问身边有经验的教师。最后将授课内容制作成内容丰富,形式精美的课件。由于课件设计新颖、美观、多样性等特点,受到了大家的好评,单从课堂听课老师和学生的满意的表情就不难看出。
二、充分的个人素质展示。本人上课情绪饱满,充满激情,常常与学生同欢笑,共忧愁。师生互动进行得很流畅。我上课运用全英语的课堂教学用语组织教学,给学生创设一个听英语、说英语的环境。总是不断地用Right,Good,Very good,Great,Wonderful,Excellent等鼓励的话激励学生开口说英语,充分调动学生说英语的积极性和表现欲望。
三、多种形式的教学方式。采用竞赛的形式贯穿整节课,能积极地调动学生的积极性,让他们以饱满的精神状态融入到整节课的教学中。为了训练学生读听说等方面的能力,我设计不同题型的题目让他们有针对性地阅读,有回答问题、听取信息、判断错误、翻译短语等等。游戏的精心设计,不仅符合高考信息匹配的考试能力的训练,还可以让学生说英语、听英语、整理信息,学生多种能力能得到训练 。
本节课还有不足之处需要改进:
一、学生在自己阅读、做课堂练习时能自主地完成,但短时间的讨论核对答案学生会出现冷场的现象。
二、在开展竞赛进行抢答时,学生偶尔会反映出有点激励,教师需要灵活地调整,尽量使课堂气氛不混乱。
