一.教材分析
本课时主要是通过学习动物名称和常见的有关描述动物的形容词,学会表达个人对动物的喜好;学会运用why, what, where引导的问句,了解动物的外形、生活习性及主要产地,并能运用英语简单描述自己喜欢的动物,进一步培养和激发热爱动物、保护动物、维护生态平衡的朴素情怀。

⑴掌握一些动物名称:tiger, elephant, koala, dolphin, panda, lion, penguin,giraffe以及zoo ,animal.
⑵ 能运用得体的形容词来描述动物:smart,cute,,beautiful,clever, ,friendly,shy以及正确运用very和kind.
⑶ 掌握句型:
(a)Let’s see the lions first.
(b) What (other) animals do you like --- I like pandas.
(c) Why do you like koalas --- Because they’re kind of cute.

学生通过谈论动物的特点,让学生学会观察、关爱动物并珍爱大自然。

Step1 Greeting
Good morning, everyone. I am happy to teach you English this class. I am from Wenzhou. I’d like to learn about you.(ask some questions :What’s your name/ What’s your favorite subject/sport/food )
Step2. Presentation
T: It’s sunny today. Let’s go to visit Wenzhou Wild Zoo.
1. Learn the new words about animals
(1) Guess according to the sound: What animal is it
Elephant,lion, koala, dolphin
(2) Guess according to the key words:
a. jump,pocket------kangaroo
b. long neck -------giraffe
c. water, play with a ball-----dolphin
d. black and white fun, only live in China-----panda
(3) T: What other animals do you know
Show pictures of horse, monkey, snake, zebra, goat, wolf

通过播放声音,呈现关键词让学生猜动物,学习新单词.并通过大脑风暴复习以前学习过的动物名词。在猜的环节中,追问学生:What does it eat What is it from What can it do 复习关于动物生活习性的表达。

课后作业是课堂的延伸。通过让学生描述自己喜欢动物,并将其落实到笔头。

九.教后反思
这堂课,各环节时间分配得当,节奏较快,能较好地调动学生的积极性。尤其是喜羊羊与大灰狼这个环节的设计,迎合学生的兴趣,学生能很好掌握目标语言。但是也有一些不足:如要求学生回答时,部分学生只讲单词,不利学生语言表达能力培养;kind of 这个环节引入和操练太勉强;教学用语仍过于繁杂。
