amazed

and
shocked

by
the
collection
of
“special

there
are
Chinese

As
well
as
shoes

boots,
the
museum
also
exhibits
shoe-shaped
objects.
The
variety
is
unbelievable.
For
example,
there
is
a
metal
lamp
that
resembles
a
pair
of
shoes,
and
Greek
wine
bottles
that
look
like
legs!

B
Average
humans
can
consume
15
or
more
drinks
in
plastic
bottles
a
month.
If
you
were
born
after
1998,
and
live
until
80
years
old,
you
will
leave
behind
a
minimum
of
14,
4000
plastic
bottles
on
this
planet.
These
bottles
take
hundreds
of
years
to
break
down
into
tiny
pieces
of
plastic,
never
to
completely
disappear.
Most
of
the
waste
is
consumed
by
fish
and
birds,
which
has
shortened
their
lifespans
greatly.
The
Plastic
Bottle
Village
is
just
a
great
idea
that
might
finally
save
us
from
being
buried
in
plastic.
It’s
a
community
in
Panama
that
is
going
to
be
made
of
used
bottles.
The
design
process
begins
with
building
steel
frames,
which
are
then
filled
with
these
bottles.
Once
this
step
is
complete,
and
electrical
and
plumping
lines
are
put
inside,
the
plastic
walls
are
covered
with
concrete(混凝土)—both
inside
and
outside.
So
no
one
will
actually
be
able
to
tell
that
the
walls
are
made
of
plastic.
Besides,
the
material
will
keep
the
house
17℃
cooler
than
the
outside,
which
is
the
biggest
benefit
to
people
living
inside.
The
village
is
the
idea
of
Robert
Bezeau
with
the
intention
of
setting
up
several
environmental
projects.
Having
started
a
recycling
program
four
years
ago,
during
which
a
number
of
plastic
bottles
were
collected,
he
started
to
think
of
how
they
could
be
put
to
use.
Soon
enough,
he
decided
to
use
them
to
build
houses,
and
came
up
with
a
basic
idea
for
the
construction
process.
The
project
hopes
to
make
people
conscious
of
the
waste
that
these
bottles
create
so
that
they
can
do
more
to
protect
the
environment.
The
village
will
also
create
an
education
center
that
will
teach
individuals
from
the
world
how
to
reuse
plastic
bottles
as
construction
materials
for
shelter.
Recycled
bottles
could
neutralize(使…无效)
the
negative
effect
of
your
passage
on
this
planet,
and
move
closer
to
leaving
only
your
“footprints”.
25.
What
do
the
figures
in
the
first
paragraph
show
A.
The
reason
for
buying
fewer
drinks.
B.
The
seriousness
of
plastic
pollution.
C.
The
amount
of
plastic
waste.
D.
The
difficult
situation
of
wildlife.
26.
Why
are
the
homes
in
the
village
special
A.
They’re
green
buildings.
B.
They’re
17℃
warmer
inside.
C.
They
stop
plastic
pollution.
D.
They’re
entirely
made
of
plastic
bottles.
27.
What
can
we
know
from
the
passage
A.
Plastic
bottles
are
difficult
to
break
down
so
that
they
are
liked
by
fish
and
birds.
B.
Robert
Bezeau
is
leader
of
a
community
in
Panama
responsible
for
the
project.
C.
The
project
of
the
Plastic
Bottle
Village
can
raise
people’s
environmental
awareness.
D.
Individuals
can
learn
how
to
produce
plastic
bottles
without
polluting
the
environment.
28.
What
would
be
the
best
title
for
the
passage
A.
An
Eco-Friendly
Plastic
Bottle
Village
B.
The
Negative
Effects
of
Plastic
Bottles
C.
How
to
Collect
Deserted
Plastic
Bottles
D.
How
to
Popularize
the
Use
of
Plastic
Bottles
C
Do
you
like
shopping
Or
does
the
thought
of
wandering
round
the
shops
fill
you
with
terror
For
some
of
us,
shopping
is
an
enjoyable
way
of
spending
our
spare
time
and
our
money.
For
me,
it’s
something
I
would
rather
avoid.
Thank
goodness
for
the
Internet!
It’s
more
convenient
to
buy
CDs,
electrical
items,
and
even
food
from
the
comfort
of
your
sofa.
But
that’s
not
the
only
reason:
price
is
an
important
factor.
We
can
buy
goods
and
services
cheaper
online.
But
sometimes
the
problem
is
knowing
what
to
buy.
This
has
led
to
a
type
of
shopping
called
“showrooming”.
Showrooming
is
something
I’ve
done.
I
will
go
to
a
shop
to
see,
touch
and
try
out
products
but
then
go
home
and
buy
them
online
at
a
knock-down
price.
I’m
not
alone
in
doing
this.
Research
by
a
company
called
Foolproof
found
24%
of
people
showroomed
while
Christmas
shopping
in
2013.
Amy
Cashman,
Head
of
Technology
at
TNS
UK,
says
the
reasons
for
this
new
shopping
habit
are
that
people
are
lacking
time,
lacking
money
and
they
want
security
about
the
products
they
are
buying.
She
explains
that
consumers
are
not
only
shopping
online
at
home
but
they
are
using
the
Internet
in
store
or
on
their
smartphones
to
shop
around.
But
does
this
mean
technology
will
kill
shops
Certainly
shops
will
changes.
they
will
have
to
offer
more
competitive
prices
or
encourage
people
to
buy
more
by
giving
in-store
discounts
or
free
gifts.
We
mustn’t
forget
that
buying
in
a
shop
means
you
can
get
expert
advice
from
the
sales
assistant
and
you
can
get
good
aftercare.
It’s
good
to
speak
to
a
real
human
rather
than
look
at
a
faceless
computer
screen,
but
at
least
by
showrooming,
you
get
the
best
of
both
worlds!
28.
The
two
questions
in
Paragraph
1
are
raised
to
_______.
A.
give
two
examples
B.
compare
different
poinions
C.
introduce
the
topic
D.
get
answers
from
readers
29.
What
does
showrooming
mean
in
the
text
A.
Showing
products
in
a
room.
B.
Buying
something
in
a
store.
C.
Shopping
on
the
internet.
D.
Trying
in
the
shops
and
buying
online.
30.
What
can
be
inferred
from
Paragraph
4

A.
Online
shops
will
disappear.
B.
Shops
need
necessary
changes.
C.
Free
gifts
will
surely
promote
sales.
D.
Shops
will
be
replaced
by
online
shops.
31.
The
author’s
attitude
towards
showrooming
is
_______.
A.
critical
B.
neutral
C.
supportive
D.
casual
D
Although
we’re
still
in
the
dead
of
winter
at
this
point,
spring
is
fast
approaching,
which
means
that
in
just
a
few
short
months,
you’ll
have
to
work
outside,
blow
the
dust
off
your
lawnmower(剪草机),
and
mow
your
overgrown
grass.
How
terrible
it
is!
A
university
graduate
student
Jason
Force
decided
to
build
an
easier,
greener
solution
for
that.
His
new
mower
---
the
EcoMow
Harvester
---
is
a
self-powered
robotic
lawn
mower
that
runs
on
nothing
more
than
the
grass
it
collects
from
your
yard.
Built
onto
the
body
of
an
electric
hobby
truck,
the
mower
is
equipped
with
a
small
reactor
that
turns
grass
into
fuel
for
the
mower.
The
device,
which
Force
and
his
team
are
currently
seeking
development
funding
for,
is
also
equipped
with
an
alternator(交流发电机)
to
collect
power
for
the
electrical
systems.
With
GPS
sensors,
the
EcoMow
prototype(雏形)
is
almost
completely
automatic,
like
a
Roomba(定时智能机器人)
for
your
yard.
“You
tell
it
where
you
want
it
to
mow,
press
go,
and
it
just
goes,”
Force
said
in
an
interview
with
the
university’s
newspaper.
“You
have
to
load
some
grass
into
it
at
the
start,
but
then
the
machine
makes
the
grass
all
by
itself.”
Once
the
design
is
complete,
users
will
be
able
to
program
the
device
by
simply
downloading
a
property
overview
from
Google
Maps.
They
then
select
the
map,
overlay(覆盖)
it
on
a
picture
of
their
yard,
and
then
input
any
additional
obstacles
the
mower
might
encounter.
From
there,
EcoMow’s
internal
GPS
system
will
locate
roads,
sidewalks,
driveways
and
other
boundaries.
At
this
point
it’s
just
a
prototype,
but
many
of
the
toughest
technical
problems
have
already
been
solved,
and
Force
and
his
team
have
applied
for
funds
to
help
move
development
forward.
You
and
I
probably
won’t
be
able
to
own
a
grass-powered
autonomous
lawn
mower
for
another
couple
of
years,
but
if
you’re
interested
in
learning

about
the
tech,

As
for
mowing
the
overgrown
grass,
the
author
thinks__________.
A.
it
is
a
necessary
job
to
take
care
of
the
garden
B.
it
will
bring
you
more
pleasure
than
hard
work
C.
it
will
in
fact
cause
a
lot
of
trouble
to
you
D.
it
is
the
task
for
Jason
Force
to
carry
out
33.
According
to
the
passage,
the
EcoMow
Harvester____________.
A.

the
market
B.
has

can
be
connected
to
an
alternator
to
produce
power
D.
can
mow
the
overgrown
grass
in
a
self-acting
way
34.
It
can
be
inferred
from
the
passage
that____________.
A.
the
new
mower
is
said
to
have
been
in
mass
production
B.
you
should
learn

to
use
the
mower
C.
it
will
be
a
time
before
we
can
see
the

D.
you
should
purchase
a
GPS
system
to
match
the
machine
35.
Where
can

If
you
do
not
use
your
arms
or
your
legs
for
some
time,
they
become
weak;
when
you
start
using
again,
they
slowly
become
strong
again.
Everybody
knows
this,
and
nobody
would
think
of
questioning
the
fact.
___71___.
When
someone
says
that
he
has
a
good
memory,
he
really
means
that
he
keeps
his
memory
in
practice
by
exercising
it
regularly,
either
consciously
or
unconsciously.
When
someone
else
says
that
his
memory
is
poor,
he
really
means
that
he
does
not
give
it
enough
opportunity
to
become
strong.
___72___.
One
of
them
exercises
his
arms
and
legs
by
playing
tennis,
while
the
other
sits
in
a
chair
or
a
motor
car
all
day.
If
a
friend
complains
that
his
arms
are
weak,
we
know
that
it
is
his
own
fault.
___73___,
many
of
us
think
that
his
parents
are
to
blame,
or
that
he
is
just
unlucky,
and
few
of
us
realize
that
it
is
just
as
much
his
own
fault
as
it
was
his
arms
or
legs
that
were
weak.
Not
all
of
us
can
become
extremely
strong
or
extremely
clever;
but
all
of
us
can,
if
we
have
ordinary
bodies
and
brains,
improve
our
strength
and
our
memory
by
the
same
means—practice.
Have
you
ever
noticed
that
people
who
cannot
read
or
write
usually
have
better
memories
than
those
who
can
___74___
Of
course,
because
those
who
cannot
read
or
write
have
to
remember
things:
they
cannot
write
them
down
in
a
little
notebook.
They
have
to
remember
dates,
time
and
prices,
names,
songs
and
stories;
so
their
memory
is
the
whole
time
being
exercised.
___75___,
learn
from
the
people:
practice
remembering.
What
do
you
think
of
it
Yet
many
people
do
not
seem
to
know
that
the
memory
works
in
the
same
way
But
if
he
tells
us
that
he
has
a
poor
memory
So
if
you
want
a
good
memory
When
someone
else
says
that
he
is
poor
in
the
health
Why
is
this
The
position
is
exactly
the
same
as
that
of
two
people

This
summer,
I
paid
a
visit
in
my
hometown.
What
made
me
really
sad
was
that
it
has
changed
a
lot.
In
the
past,
my
hometown
was
very
beautiful,
with
a
small
river
run
through
the
village.
Tall

straight
trees,
beautiful
flowers
or
green
grass
could
be
seen
everywhere.
Nowadays,
therefore,
with
the
development
of
modern
society,
people
are
living
“happy”
life.
Although
many
tall
buildings
are
found
on

of
the

but
the
river
has
been
bad

and

It

to
protect
our
