1. Greet and warm up Give the standard greeting to welcome students to English class. And sing the ABC song. Greet and answer in English.Sing the song together Talk and sing freely.
2. review Show the alphabet chart and review the small letters Loot at the alphabet chart and read the small letters Say together
3. Study new concepts 1) Write the capital letters according the small letters.2) teach how to write the capital letters 3) give the example to find the words start with these letters with the word cards 3) Give the “listen” command and play the audiotape.4) Teach new words “fish” and “ice cream”.5) Write the letters “D” and “d” and the words “Danny” and “door” on the blackboard. Learn the capital letters follow the teacher.Take out the writing book to write the letters.Think and say some words start with these letters.Open the books on pages 28 and 29, and follow the tape. Follow the teacher to learn new words: Look at the blackboard and learn after the teacher. Study and play together.
Teach/learn that capital letters are used at the beginning of a sentence, and names. For example, Danny’s name begins with a capital D. but the word door begins with a small d because it is not a proper name. Find some more examples. Learn together
4. ActivityFind the alphabet Read the line “We learn the alphabet everywhere” to the class, and discuss. Look at the words listed in this section of the book. Recognize these words. Think where have seen these words before. Tell some more letters seen at other places. Discuss together
5. Do exercise Give the standard command for the students to take out the activity book. Take out the activity book and do some exercise on page 28 and 29. Do exercise.
6. Homework 1) listen and read the text 3 times2) Draw letters and pictures to remember this lesson on the drawing books. Do your homework according to your interest
