1. Greet and review Give the standard greeting to welcome students to English class. Have a free talk.Tell the class that today’s lesson is called “help your family”. Who remember some phrases about helping out at home we have learned Greet and answer in English.Free talk: may I have a … (a …, please )Think the meaning of “help your family”Think over and say the phrases Talk freely.Review together
2. Study new concepts 1) Give the standard command for students to take out their student books and turn to the pages for today’s lesson.2) Have the class look at the pictures on pages 30. And ask some questions: What’s happening What is Li Ming’s mother doing What is Li Ming’s doing 3) Give the “listen” command and play the audiotape.4) Show cards to teach new words. Take out their student books and turn to the pages 30.Look at the pictures on pages 30. Think of the questions.Li Ming’s mother is cooking.Li Ming is helping his motherThe girl and the boy are making lunch/ put away the dishes.Listen and read the text after the audiotapeWith the question: what do you hear in the text.Follow the teacher to learn “make lunch” “wash the dishes” and “put away the dishes” Study and play together.
3. ActivityGame “look and say” 1) Do actions.2)choose volunteers to act Look at the teacher and guess what the teacher e to the front to act or look and guess. Play together
4. Play the audiotape and give the order “listen” again. Listen and follow the tape. Study together
5. have fun “picking apples” Stick the apple tree on the blackboard; give the direction to play the game. Play game, picking apples, and putting them into the right letter boxes. Play in the groups together
6. Do exercise Give the standard command for the students to take out the activity book. Take out the activity book and do some exercise on page 30 and 31. Do exercise.
7. Closing Give the order to number off Number off “make lunch”, “wash the dishes” “put away the dishes” and “help my mom” Say one by one
8. Homework 1) listen and read the text 3 times2) Draw pictures to remember new phrases on the drawing books.3) Help your family. Do your homework according to your interest
