Unit 3 Lesson 17 Let’s Buy Postcards!

一、教学目标:
(一)知识目标:
1.能听、说、读、写单词:postcard, e-mail, letter。
2.能用英语简单描述postcard, e-mail, letter。
3.能听懂描述明信片时使用的语言。
(二)能力目标:
学生能正确运用英语购物,能在创设的情境中进行交流,使语言交际与表达能力进一步得到提高。
(三)情感目标:
1.激发学生学习英语的浓厚兴趣,培养学习主动性,感受用英语购物的乐趣。
2.学会用明信片的形式主动与人交流,学会与他人共处。
3.购物时会运用简单的礼貌用语,养成懂礼貌、尊重他人的好习惯。
二、教学重点、难点:
(一)教学重点:
能正确运用postcard, e-mail, letter,能准确理解课文内容。
(二)教学难点:
能熟练运用所学词汇与句型描述明信片并进行交际。
三、教学准备:
postcards, letter, e-mail的图片,录音机,教学课件
四、教学过程:
Step 1: Warming up and Review
1.Greeting:
Class begins! Hello, class! It’s a sunny day, today. I’m very happy! Are you happy today
2.Lead in :
Today, Li Ming is happy, too. Do you know where is LiMing (In
Beijing.)Yes, they are shopping in Beijing. They want to buy some postcards for their families and friends. What is a postcard I can show you! (给生出示明信片)
(设计意图:通过师生问候,引出李明等在北京购买明信片,为学习词汇、课文做准备)。
Step 2: Presentation
1.教授postcard.
出示一张带有熊猫图片的明信片,引出postcard, 问What’s on this postcard (A panda on a picture.) Yes, A postcard has a picture on it.
出示一张带有天安门图片的明信片。问What does the postcard have (A postcard has a picture of Tian’anmen square.) 将一张postcard放入自制邮箱中,做出send(寄出)的动作。让生齐说send, 将I want to send this postcard to ___ .板书。让生用明信片来练习send句子.
2.教授letter.
出示一个带有英文内容信的图片,Look, what’s this 引出A letter. 将“信”与“明信片” 做对比,强调 A letter has NOT a picture. But a postcard has a picture on it. 告知生:A postcard has a picture of ____ on it. 同时板书,出示明信片让生练习此句话。
3.教授e-mail.
出示一个带有电子邮件的电脑的图片,Class, What’ this Is this a letter This is an e-mail.强调“-”连字符不要丢掉,将信与电子邮件做对比,并强调You write a letter on paper; But You write an e-mail on a computer.
(设计意图:讲授新词时采用以图引出单词,然后用单词说出句子的形式,直观、形象、易于接受,且有助于学生巩固、理解、运用新知)。
4.出示shop背景。Class, Let’s buy postcards in the shop!
Step 3: Drill and Practice (listen to the tape ,follow the tape)
Some questions for the part two: Who does Janny/ LiMing want to send her/his postcard (Ss answer the questions)
1. Pay attention to some words and pictures.
2.Let’s see how do they buy.
A:Can I help you
B:I want to buy some postcards .
May I see that _________,please
A:Here you are .
B:Thank you .How much for this postcard
A:________yuan.
B:I’ll take _______,please.
A:Here you are.
B:Thank you.
A:You are welcome.
3.Check the answer. (两人分角色完成填空)
(设计意图:让学生根据课文填空,使其进一步理解课文内容。)
4.Divide students into groups and make up a dialogue.
5.Act out their own dialogue.小组展示对话。(适时评价)
(设计意图:进一步巩固新知,使学生学以致用,锻炼了口语交 际能力,充分发挥了学生的学习主动性)。
Homework:
Make a postcard by yourself. You can draw a picture on it.
