This is a song millions of Americans will hear this New Year’s Eve. It is called Auld Lang Syne(《友谊地久天长》).It is the traditional music played during the New Year’s celebration. Auld Lang Syne is an old Scottish poem. It tells about the need to remember old friends.【来源：21cnj*y.co*m】
The words “Auld Lang Syne” mean “old long since”. No one knows who wrote the poem first. However, a version by Scottish poet Robert Burns was published(出版)in 1796. The words and music we know today first appeared in a songbook three years later.
The song is played in the United States mainly on New Year’s Eve. The version(译文) you are hearing today is by the Washington Saxophone Quartet. As we end our program with Auld Lang Syne, I would like to wish all of our radio friends a very Happy New Year! This is Buddy Thomas.【出处：21教育名师】

What is “stress”
Lead-in
单词中读音特别响亮的音节。重读符号为“'”，标注在重读音节前左上方，
如[t 'm r ] ，也可以直接在单词里标注，如：to'morrow。
次重读符号“,”，标注在重读音节前左下方。 Organi'zations [, rg nai'zei n]
符号“'”是重音符（accent），符号【,】是次重音符（secondary accent）

注：英语的每个词，至少有一个音节读得特别重而清楚，而其他的音节则轻而含糊。读得重而清楚的音节，叫做单词重音，又叫重读音节。读得轻而含糊的音节，叫做非重读音节或轻读音节。

如何把握单词重音？
第一、从构词角度看，这个词是简单
的还是复合的（既加了前后缀
的词或合成词）。
第二、属于哪一个词类（名词、形容
词、动词等）。
第三、有多少个音节。
1、每个单音节词都要重读，无须标出重读符号。
如:
good [ɡud] luck [l k]
man [m n] come [k m] in [in]
my [mai ] shop [ p] that [ t]
boy [b i] there [ ε ] us [ s]

A1 Say these two-syllable words and stress the first syllable.

2、双音节词的重音一般落在第一个音节上。如：sister [‘sist ] 、brother [’br ]等。
3、含有a- be- de- re- in- ex- 等前缀的双音节词往往是在第二个音节上重读。双音节词的重读位置不会因增加前缀或后缀而发生改变。

注意：
1.复合不定代词都具有单数的含义，因此通常被看成是单数第三人称。当它们充当句子的主语时，其后的谓语动词用单数形式。如：
