Practice Have Ss look at the pictures. T: What are they saying T: (Point to picture A.) Can you make a dialog S1: What do you want to do S2: I want to see a movie. T: Let’s listen to the tape. Play the tape for A, and then pause. T: Write A in the correct box. Continue with the rest. Pause the tape and have Ss guess the answers to the questions before playing the tape to check.Practice 2 Have Ss look at the questions on the page. T: A. (S1’a name), can you read the question S1: Do you want to eat noodles Ask another three Ss to read the other three questions. Have all Ss practice reading aloud to themselves. Circulate around the room to check Ss’ reading. Have Ss look at the pictures on the page. T: Now look at A. Do you want to eat noodles Have one student answer truthfully. S1: Sure. / Not really. Continue with the rest of the pictures. Have Ss choose their own answers for D. Provide extra vocabulary if needed. Put Ss into pairs and have them practice the Q&A exchanges. If time permits, have pairs change their partners.Chant activity Write Do you want to____ On the board T :) point to the picture on the left.) Can you make a question Ss: Do you want to see a movie Repeat with the other picture. Let’s learn the chant. Have Ss read the lyrics. T: Let’s listen to the chant. Play the tape. T: Now let’s chant. Play the tape and have the whole class chant. When Ss have learned the chant, divide class into two groups. Both groups chant the first part, movie, movie/ Let’s go see a movie! One group chants the question Do you want to see a movie And the other group chants the response Yes; I want to see a movie. Then switch for the second verse.Look, ask and answer Point to each picture on the page and go over the characters’ names. T: (point to Tony.) What does Tony want to do Ss: He wants to surf the Internet. Continue with the other pictures. Using the book Have Ss look at the model dialog on the page. Explain that Ss should make up a question that requires a negative answer and give some examples. Point out that answers are slightly different from the targets. When talking about a third person, answers are Yes, he/she doesn’t. instead of Sure. Or Not really. Have Ss work in pairs to ask and answer.Step 3 Summary
