Step 1 Revision1. Let’s chant.3. Ask and answer P.51.Step 2 PresentationActivityGetting ready Have Ss look at the game board on the page. Write What do you want to do I want to ___. On the board. (Point to the first picture in the top row.) What do you want to do (Gesture for Ss answer.) Ss: I want to ready a comic book. Continue with the other three pictures in the top row. Put Ss into pairs. Have S1 ask the questions and S2 answer for the second and third rows. Have Ss switch roles for the fourth and fifth rows. Walk around the classroom to provide help if needed.Using the book Put Ss into the pairs. Give each pair two different colors of paper and have them make four games to kens reach. Have S1s put their tokens on the circles in the top row. Have S2s put their tokens on the circles in the bottom row. Demonstrate how to play the game with one pair before starting the pair work. Have S1 move one of his/her tokens one space ahead in and direction. Have S2 ask What do you want to do Have S1 answer I want to (play outside). Based on the picture where he/she had tokens and repeat the procedures. Explain that Ss can jump over a circle if there is a token on it. Have pairs play the game until each student’s tokens reach the opposite end of game board.Sounds and wordsGetting ready Write arm and home on the board and underline m and me. T: (Point to m) Let’s practice this sound. T: / m /. Ss: /m /. Show Ss your lips are closed. Have Ss look at the pictures on the page. T: Let’s listen to the tape. Play the tape and have Ss point to each word as the tape says it. T: Let’s listen again and this time, repeat. Have Ss repeat after the tape. After enough practice, point to the pictures randomly and have Ss say the words. Make sure that Ss close their lips.Listen and chant T: (point to the girl with the broom.) What’s she doing Ss: She’s sweeping the floor. Continue with the rest.Using the book Have individual Ss read the lyrics aloud. T: Let’s listen to the chant. Play the tape once. T: Now listen again. This time, stand up when you hear the first sound /m/, sit down when you hear the next sound /m/ and continue until the end of the chant. Play the tape again and have Ss stand up and sit down. T: Ok.
