形容词比较级用于两者（人或事物）作比较，常见句型为：
A + be + 形容词比较级 + than + B
如： I’m taller and heavier than you. 我比你更高、更重。
此外，形容词最高级用于两个以上的人和物进行比较, 其结构形式为: A + be + the+形容词最高级+(表示范围的短语) 如:Jack is the tallest student in his class.
