UNIT 3 My Country and English-speaking Countries
Lesson 21 The U.K.
一、教学设计思路
本课的主要教学内容是有关英国的信息。本课时中，教师可以通过 “ask and answer”游戏对本单元已学国家进行复习，并导入新课；然后，通过歌曲 “London Bridge”进入到英国首都London的教学，进而进行英国及其代表性事物的教学；最后，通过小游戏对本课知识进行巩固。
二、教学目标
（一）知识
听说、认读U.K.
（二）能力
能够用英语简单介绍英国。
（三）情感
培养学生学习英语的兴趣。并通过对加拿大有关信息的学习，培养学生了解英语国家自然风光及文化的兴趣。

听说、认读U.K.
了解英国相关信息。
四、教学媒体
1．世界地图，英国地图。
2．英国国旗，女王，白金汉宫等图片。
3．动画歌曲 “London Bridge”。
4．录音机，磁带（音频）
五、教学过程
1．导入
1）Daily Greeting.
2）游戏：ask and answer。教师根据世界地图就本单元已学国家进行提问，让大家进行抢答：如
T: What’s it （指着某一国家的位置说）
Do you know the capital city of it
What do they speak in …
What country is north of…
What colour is its flag
Is the Niagara Falls in …
…
2．呈现新课
1）A map of the U.K.
教师播放动画歌曲London Bridge，让学生边欣赏边跟着唱。
T: Do you Know London
教师在世界地图上找到英国伦敦的位置：
T: It is London. How do you think about London
学生可能会凭着看地图的经验认出伦敦是首都。
T: Is it a capital city of a country What country is it
…
教师出示其它图片，如女王、大本钟等，以更多信息提示学生本课将要接触的国家－英国。
T: It is the United Kingdom. We can call it the U.K. London is its capital city.
让学生跟读the United Kingdom，the U.K.，London。
T: What do they speak in the U.K. Guess.
学生应该会猜出：People speak English in the U.K.
让学生大声朗读：
London is the capital city of the U.K. People speak English in the U.K.
T: Is it south of China
…
2）In the U.K.
教师出示白金汉宫图片：
T: Have you ever seen it （学生可能在电视上看到过）
It is Buckingham Palace in London.
T: Is there a flag What colour is it
教师出示英国国旗或图片，核实学生的回答是否正确。
T: Do you know who live in it
让学生凭借常识并发挥想象猜测。
T: Kings and queens live in it.
教师向学生简单介绍英国女王，及the United Kingdom的全称United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland（由大不列颠岛包括英格兰、苏格兰、威尔士、爱尔兰岛东北部和一些小岛组成）以及与加拿大，澳大利亚的关系等。
教师可以为学生播放英国国歌“天佑女王”，让学生感受女王的地位。
3．趣味操练
Play "Happy Face, Sad Face" with sentences about the countries you have learned so far.
Students can make sentences based on:
I live in ____. I speak ____.
____ is north/south/east/west of ____.
They/We speak __ in __.
This is the capital city of _____. (Student points to a city on the world map.)
I know this country. This is _______. (Student points to a country on the map.)
4．课堂评价
①教师指导学生做活动手册的相关练习。
②教师根据学生课堂参与的情况，对不同能力的学生制定不同的“小星星”标准，使每个学生都有得到“小星星”的机会和能力，以此激发学生的努力。
③搞小竞赛，让学生参与评价，进行小组互评，从而激发学生的积极性。
