1教学目标
1、能在语境中正确运用本单元的核心词汇,复习已学相关核心词汇
2、能简单介绍复活节、万圣节、感恩节和圣诞节,包括节目日期和具体
了解西方主要节日风俗文化。
2学情分析
本单元是对于西方文化的一个学习,学生之前对这些节日有一定的了解,在本单元会更加详细的进行学习。

教学难点:几个主要节日的拼写、读音以及相关文化背景

活动1【活动】Western festivals
Pre-task preparation
出示中国传统节日的图片,请学生根据图片说出中国传统节日。然后让学生说说喜欢哪个中国传统节日,并说说这个节日有些什么活动。

请学生两人一组进行问答练习。
在各节目名称后出示各年节目的日期,请学生用英文表达日期。

以头脑风暴的形式问问学生知道哪些西方节日,并根据需要在黑板上板书。
T: What Western festivals do you know?
S1: Christmas, Halloween...
T: When’s Christmas?
S2: It’s in December .It’s on 25the December.
若学生说不出,教师出示Look and learn中的图片,依次介绍这几个节日。然后教师领读。出示日历,在日历上圈出这些节日当年的日期。
T: Easter Day is always on a Sunday in March or April. It’s on...this year. Halloween is on 31th October. Thanksgiving is on the fourth Thursday in November. It’s on...this year. Christmas is on 25thDecember.
出示Listen and say的图片,播放录音,学生边听边看课文及图片,然后完成表格。

3、教师出示一些句子,学生根据课文内容判断出时哪个节日。

然后学生互相问答,完成后续练习。布置作业,让学生查找四个节日的资料或与其有关的故事,下一课时用。

1、调查活动。请每位学生调查两个同学,把他们最喜欢的节日记录在表格里。提示学生可以说西方的节日,也可以说中国的节日。

2、向班级汇报自己的调查结果。
课时二
Pre-task preparations
1、和学生做快速反应游戏。出示各个西方节日的图片。学生马上说出对应的名称。
2、播放Sing a song的视频或录音,学生跟着录音唱歌,活跃课堂气氛。
While-task procedures
1、用多媒体或教学挂图出示Read a story的图片1,让学生阅读文字,然后回答问题。
1) What did Rudolf’s nose look like?
2) Did Rudolf like his nose? Why?
3) What did Rudolf’s friends say about his nose?
然后让学生阅读第二至第五段,填空完成下面的段落。
出示图片6,让学生猜猜Rudolf的朋友们在说什么以及Rudolf会说什么。让学生读课文,看看谁的猜测更接近故事原文。然后把学生分成两大组,分别模仿Rudolf和他的朋友们,大声对话。【来源:21·世纪·教育·网】

2、播放故事视频或音频,让学生观看动画或录音,提出自己不懂的句子或单词,教师给予讲解。让学生完成练习,然后核对答案。
3、通过引导性的问题和学生讨论故事蕴含的道理。最后的结论可以让学生用中文表达。
4、把学生分成五人小组,分配角色,分角色朗读课本剧,为表演做准备。
Post-task activities
1、学生分组演出课本剧,全体学生评出最佳表演奖、最佳演员以及最佳语音奖。
2、在前一课时留作业,让学生课后完成表格。
