Lesson 22 Australia
一、教学设计思路
本课时的主要教学内容是有关澳大利亚的一些信息。本课时中，教师可以首先通过小游戏复习本单元已学内容并导入本课新知识；然后，通过地图引领、与英国国旗的对比等进行本课有关澳大利亚知识的教学；最后，通过情景剧表演对本单元所学各个国家知识进行巩固。
二、教学目标
（一）知识
听说、认读Australia。
（二）能力
能够用英语简单介绍澳大利亚。
（三）情感
培养学生学习英语的兴趣。并通过对加拿大有关信息的学习，培养学生了解英语国家自然风光及文化的兴趣。
三、教学重点
听说、认读Australia。
口头简单介绍澳大利亚。
四、教学媒体
1．世界地图、澳大利亚地图。
2．各国代表物图片。
3．录音机，磁带。
五、教学过程
1．导入
1）Daily Greeting。
2）小游戏：Stand up-Sit down
教师分别出示不同国家代表物图，并说国家名称，如果它们一一对应，学生起立，如果不对应，则坐下。
2．呈现新课
1）A map of Australia
T: We have known about China, Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. Do you find they are all in the …（教师在世界地图上或地球仪上示意这些国家都在北半球）
the southern hemisphere or the northern hemisphere （教师接着上边的话说）
T: They are all in the northern hemisphere. Now, do you know any country in the southern hemisphere （教师要指着南北半球说，帮助学生理解。）
给学生一定时间，让学生去浏览南半球的一些国家。
教师出示kangaroo图片，
T: You must be familiar with it. What is it
…
T: It is a kangaroo. It lives in Australia. Australia. Can you see Australia on the map
…
It is one of the countries in the southern hemisphere. And it’s south and east of China. Guess.（教师引导学生找到Australia）
让学生跟读Australia，Australia, south and east of China. Kangaroos live in Australia.
T: Let’s see its capital city. It’s here. Canberra. Canberra is the capital city of Australia.
让学生看着地图进行对话练习。
2）In Australia
教师在黑板上用简笔画画英国国旗，
T: Do you remember what it is
Ss: The flag of the U.K.
T: Good, it’s the flag of U.K. And then…（教师在英国国旗的周围继续画，画出澳大利亚国旗）
Now, it’s another flag. Can you guess what it is
…
It’s the flag of Australia. What colour is it
…
时间允许的话，教师可以给学生介绍澳大利亚国旗的含义。
教师让学生分组完成自学任务：讨论更多的有关澳大利亚的信息（如悉尼歌剧院等）。然后，小组展示自学成果。
3．趣味操练
情景剧表演：学生分别扮演不同国家的代表物。
