教材分析
教材结构：
本册教材共有七个单元和一个复习单元，每个单元各由四课组成，每课都有机组合、相互渗透。
每个单元的前三课是新手课程，重点 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )呈现了应该掌握的新单词、新句型。每课最后一部分英语歌曲和歌谣不仅有利于激发学生的学习兴趣，培养他们的节奏感，还有利于提高其人文素养。
第四课是复习课文，进一步巩固前三课所学内容，培养听说和思维等能力。
书后还附有本册书的重点单词，按照单元的顺序以及分类的要求，便于同学们进行系统性的复习和检查。

本课的教学亮点为所有的新单词都是通过学 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )生的照片进行练习，包括完整的介绍自己的家庭，学生们的兴趣得到高度提升。在后面设计了一个绘本教学，拓宽学生的知识面，让学有所用，。充分利用多媒体等手段，充分将本课知识重难点融入到学生生活中，将生活带到课堂，能够很好地调动学生们的积极性，在掌握知识的同时融入情感教育，让学生懂得爱家庭爱父母，21教育网
通过学生们的课堂反馈来看，需要提升的方面有以下几点：
1、生词练习不到位，到最后部分同学不敢上来介绍自己的家庭首要原因就是brother 和family这两个单词掌握不熟练。
2、后面的绘本老师读的速度太快，本身有个别新词学生们不理解，这样直接提升了后面练习题的难度。
3、Group work.在进行展示的环节中，道具的使用不够熟练，没有充分的吸引到学生的注意力，导致的结果就是上面的展示，下面的说话。

本册教材以话题单元的形式编 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )写。总共六个单元，每单元四课，每课一般可在一个学时内完成。教材内容以中国男孩Li Ming 、加拿大女孩Jenny、小恐龙Danny 三个卡通人物的生活和经历为主线贯穿全书。从他们三人相互认识，到他们的学校家庭、饮食、起居、购物、旅行等等，由这一切构成各课书趣味无穷的具体、现实的情景，呈现英语国家现实生活中最常用的词和最常见的口语。
