Step 1 Warming up
1. Greeting.
2. Play a game—cross the river.
Review some names of actions.
3. Do an exercise.
Fly, fly, I am flying.
Swim, swim, I am swimming.
Throw, throw, you are throwing.
Run, run, you are running.
Climb, climb, he is climbing.
Sweep, sweep, he is sweeping.
Sleep, sleep, she is sleeping.
Cook, cook, she is cooking.
Step 2 Presentation and drill
1. Learn the sentence pattern.
1)Ask a student come to the blackboard, and do an action as just do.
2)Ask the student’s name.
3)Ask the other students what is …doing
4)Write down the sentence, and ask the students to guess the meaning。
5)Teach the sentence pattern.
6)Practice.
2. Learn the new words.
1)Show the picture of hopping.
2)Ask students what is she dong
3)Help students to answer the question, and teach the new word.
4)Teach other words like this.
5)Play a game—loud and low voice.
6)Play a game—say and do.
7)Read them together.
Step 3 practice
1. Part A Let’s listen and say
1)Listen to the tape, and grasp the general idea.
2)Read the text carefully, and then ask the questions.
