There are a lot of dangerous and terrible pests in India, but the tree bees are the most terrible. They are killers.
Last year I was on holiday there. Riding along a road one sunny morning, I found the air above me suddenly became thick with bees. Although it was hot, I went cold all over. To run away fast seemed the only thing to do, but my horse was frightened, too. He jumped and kicked out in all directions to get rid of the bees that were attacking him, and then threw me to the ground.
The village was about half a mile away. I began to run. But by now I was covered from head to foot with bees. They crawled all over me, stinging(刺) with terrible pain. I tore them away, but made room for others. Each time I opened my lips for breath, more bees entered my mouth. I could hardly breathe. Then I reached the village. I ran towards a house that was being built. As soon as the men working there saw the bees, they ran for safety at top speed.
My eyes had completely closed. I fell into a pile of something soft. I pushed myself down into this until my head and shoulders were covered. This made bees angry and they began to attack my legs. I struggled but soon became tired out.The bees had won.
At last I was saved by two clever soldiers. They ran to a pile of dry grass and quickly surrounded me a thick wall of fire and smoke until the bees were driven away. They remained with me, I later learned, looking after me for the next three hours until a doctor was found and brought.

We had the discussion over if it’s necessary to carry out outer space exploration at a class meeting the another day.
Some of us think it important to research the outer space. First, people can get a best understand of the outer space through
their exploration. Second, new resources can found there for humans to use. Third, this exploration can possibly bring up
about new living space for human life. But, others don’t believe so. They say this kind of exploration costs too many money.
And it’s very danger for astronauts to do such work. I think people should do the exploration and therefore such exploration
into the outer space are worth try out.

Jiuquan, Gansu Province, Sept.6 (Xinhua) ---- China’s manned spacecraft Shenzhou-7 will be launched at an appropriate time between Sept.25 and 30 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwestern Gansu Province, a spokesman said here on Saturday. The mission will accomplish the first spacewalk by Chinese astronauts.
“All the major systems involved in the launching are now in the final preparation. The main tests for the spacecraft, the Long-March II-F rocket, suits for the space walk and a satellite accompanying the fly have also been finished,” said the spokesman. In addition, the ground control system is fully prepared, including the launch site, the landing site, and the communication for observation and control.
When Shenzhou-7 enters its orbit, one of the three astronauts will conduct a space walk, said Zhao Changxi, a senior scientist with the project, earlier. According to Zhao, cameras would be fixed outside and inside of the ship for live broadcasting of the space walk.
While the last mission of Shenzhou-6, with a crew of two, was aimed at several days of manned flight, this time the task might be more stringent as one of its main goals is the space walk. Earlier reports said a crew of six astronauts had been chosen for the mission, with three manning the spacecraft and three substitutes.
China successfully put two manned spacecrafts into orbit in 2003 and 2005 respectively, becoming the third country to send an astronaut into space after the United States and the former Soviet Union (now Russia).

Astronomy is the oldest science known to man. Thousands of years ago man looked at the stars and wondered about the heavens. But man was limited by what he could see with his eyes alone.
The Greeks studied astronomy over 2,000 years ago. They could see the size, color, and brightness of a star. They could see its place in the sky. They watched the stars move as the seasons changed. But the Greeks had no tools to help themselves study the heavens.
Each new tool added to the field of astronomy helped man reach out into space. Until there were telescopes, man knew little about the moon. They did not know that the planet called Saturn(土星) had rings around it. Their sight was so limited that they could not see all the planets. In the early 1700s, people thought there were only six planets. Nepture(海王星), the last of eight planets to be discovered, was not seen until 1846.
Before the spectroscope(分光镜), man did not know what kind of gases was in the sun or other stars. Without the radio telescope, we didn’t know that radio noises came from far out in space.
Today, astronomy is a growing science. We had learned more in the last fifty years than in the whole history of astronomy.
