Lesson 31 Are You Ready for a Quiz
一、教学设计思路
本课是复习课，其主要教学目标是复习本单元内容。本课时中，教师可以先通过Lesson 29中歌曲导入；然后，对本单元内容进行复习，并通过本课练习进行检测；最后，通过story进行本单元语言综合训练。
二、教学目标
（一）知识
复习本单元知识。about, fast, slow, faster, slower, airplane, plane, train, Beijing, trip, hotel, come, go, leave, arrive, May I / we… / How far is… It’s…kilometers
（二）能力
①能用英语描述某人曾去哪儿旅行，住在哪个旅店。
②能够通过观察事物运动的快与慢来比较哪一个更快，哪一个更慢，并用英语来描绘某物比某物更快或更慢。
③能用英语来描述某人在某天某时到达或离开某地，能很有礼貌地用英语征求别人的意见。
④能够询问对方某地距离另一个地点有多远，并能用学过的数字来回答。
三、教学重点
复习词汇（会听、会说、会读、会写）与句型：
about, fast, slow, faster, slower, airplane, plane, train, Beijing, trip, hotel, come, go, leave, arrive, May I / we…
四、教学媒体
图片、投影仪、地图、数字张贴画
五、教学过程
1．导入
1）Daily greeting
2）播放Lesson 29歌曲。
2．呈现新课
1）关于单词：airplane, train, fast, slow, faster和slower的巩固，教师可以找一些图片或一些玩具以提问的方式来考考学生这些图片或玩具都代表什么，用英语如何来表达。例如：
What’s this in English
This is an airplane.
What’s this in English
This is a train.
然后让学生比较一下这两种交通工具哪个快，哪个慢，并用英语描述一下这两个交通工具的快与慢。
2）关于单词：come, go, leave, arrive和hotel，教师可以找一些地点的图片，例如：
shop
hotel
让学生将图片和单词连在一起写几个句子。
3）关于句型：May I / we… (动词)
教师可以让学生自由发挥，分别写一些可以向同学、爸爸、妈妈和教师等人征求意见的句子，比一比谁写得多而好。
4）关于单词about和了解句型：
---How far is…
---It’s… kilometers.
教师可以找一幅有标尺的地图，让学生找出任意两地的距离，然后用上面的句型来写一些句子，回答时写两个句子，一次写具体距离，第二次用about写一个大概距离。例如：
---How far is from Shijiazhuang to Beijing
---It is two hundred seventy-eight kilometers. /
---It is about three hundred kilometers.
5）Are you ready for a quiz
Let's playa game! Smile for the right answer. Cry for the wrong answer. Ready
1．Is an airplane faster than a train Yes! An airplane is faster than a train.
2．Is Beijing the capital city of our country No. China is the capital city of our country.
3．Come and leave. Are they the same No. They are different.
4．How many buses are there' About ten.
5．Are Li Ming, Danny and Jenny going on a trip to Beijing No! We're going on a Beijing!
3．趣味操练
阅读故事 “Li Ming goes to the airport”。完成任务：
Where is Li Ming What country
Where are Jenny and Danny at the beginning of the story
Where are Jenny and Danny at the end of the story
Is Li Ming sad sometimes Why
What makes him happy
Why have Jenny and Danny come to China （To go on a trip to Beijing.）
4．课堂评价
1）教师可以通过一些练习来检测学生对知识的掌握程度。
2）教师可以通过学生在课堂活动中的表现，对学生进行评价。
