六、形容词/副词的考查
考查形容词与名词、副词、动词等的混用，尤其是be动词和感官动词后形容词误用为副词；修饰动词或句子时副词与形容词混用；形容词或副词的比较级和最高级误用等。

答案 terrible→terribly 句中作表语的形容词worried应由副词修饰，故terrible改为terribly。

七、动词时态和语态的考查
动词错用主要是由于上、下文时态不一致或主动语态与被动语态使用错误。

答案 observe→observed 根据and前面的drove可知，应将observe改为observed。

八、主谓一致的考查
当名词作主语时，需注意其为可数名词还是不可数名词、是单数还是复数，以此来确定谓语动词的单复数。定语从句中的谓语动词单复数应根据先行词而定。
典例 [2016·浙江高考]He

答案 was→were 考查主谓一致。主语为we，故应把was改为were。
九、非谓语动词的考查
非谓语动词的错用主要表现在动词后的宾语的形式，及作状语、定语、补语等时非谓语动词的使用错误。避免错用的关键在于分清所需非谓语动词表示的时间概念及其与逻辑主语之间的主被动关系。

答案 wear→wearing 考查非谓语动词。by为介词，其后要接动名词形式。

十、不定式符号to的考查
短文改错中对不定式符号to的考查主要表现在不需要使用不定式符号to的地方反而出现to，或需要用带to的不定式作补语、定语、状语及一些固定用法时反而缺少to两种情况。

答案 get前加to 此处为不定式作目的状语。
