Minnesota
woman
took

at
her

wedding
ceremony
by
serving
as
the

girl.
Georgiana
Arlt
fulfilled
her
granddaughter
Abby
Mershon's
1
to
include
her
grandparents
in
her
wedding,
as
she
walked
down
the
aisle
tossing
flowers.
"I
always
knew
2
my
grandma
would
be
involved,
and
I
really
wanted
my
grandpa
to
be
my
ring
bearer
as
well,
but
he
just
3
a
year
ago,"
Mershon,
27,
said.
"My
4
and
I
asked
her
together
to
be
our
flower
girl
in
front
of
our
entire
family.
My
grandma
screamed
at
the
top
of
her
5
.
It
was
so
sweet.
She
kept
screaming,
'I've
6
been
in
a
wedding
besides
my
own."
Arlt,
7
has
eight
children,17
grandchildren
and
16
great-grandchildren,
was
8
by
the
opportunity,
but
said
the
flower
girl
duties
were
"hard
work"
as
she
took
her
seat.
"I
was
happy
and
joyful.
You
can
see
that
when
I
threw
the
flowers,"
Arlt
said.
"I
wanted
to
entertain
everybody
walking
down
that
aisle.
I
must've
because
they
were
all
laughing
at
me.
Then
9
had
me
out
dancing
and
I
slept
all
night
when
I
got
home
in
bed.
I
was
10
out."
Mershon
nearly
11
her
grandmother's
moment
in
the
spotlight,
12
said
her
family's
loud
cheers
encouraged
her
to
take
a
look.
"
13
was
in
hiding
and
I
heard
people
shouting
and
clapping
so
I
had
to
see
through
the
window,"
she
said.
"My
assistant
was
there
for
me
and
she
said,
'Abby,
you
need
to
14
,'
but
I
said,
'I
can't
miss
this
moment.'
People
were
cheering.
It
was
amazing.
That's
exactly
15
I
wanted.
I
wouldn't
have
wanted
anything
less
than
make
my
grandma
feel
special."
