【设计理念】
利用和开发现代教育中的多媒体和录音机资源,给学生提供贴近他们生活和实际的教学源,激发学生的学习兴趣,以发展学生的总结归纳能力。
【教材分析】
该课时包含2个内容:语法2(adjective ending in-ed & -ing 和发音(-ed ending);语法2主要是以-ed & v-ing结尾的过去分词和现在分词作为形容词时的使用。通过该部分的学习,学生就可以了解和认识现在分词和过去分词的更多用法,并且对于它们的其他用法有所了解。为了提高学生对于这个语法项目的认识,加深对这个语法的理解,需要给他们提供一定量练习供他们进行训练;v-ed的发音是语法2的延续,它主要是了解和掌握v-ed的发音。总结-ed的发音规律,可以帮助学生有效的总结和归纳其他词汇的发音规律。
【学情分析】
通过语法1和第一课时的学习,大部分高一学生已经对高中英语和高中英语语法的学习有了一个初步的认识和了解,他们对于即将要学习到的知识在难易程度和方式有了一个初步的认识和了解。对于相当多的学生而言,-ed和-ing在句子中的应用仍然是一个比较难的话题。怎样使学生在已知的初中知识的基础上对语法2有一个进一步的加深和了解,是学生的难题,也是教师在教的过程中应该重点侧重的内容。讲练结合是该语法学习的一个重要而行之有效的方法:对于-ed的发音,初中学生对它已经有了一些认识和了解,但对于它的发音方法和规律却并不十分清楚。因而练好-ed的发音并总结它的发音规律对于学生和教师来讲就显的非常必要和重要。
【教学目标】
Ⅰ.知识与技能
使学生正确的学习以-ed和-ing结尾的动词用作形容词的方法,训练他们总结归纳的能力。
Ⅱ.过程和方法
利用多媒体激发学生的参与课堂的积极性,利用个人互动、小组互动来完成相关知识。
Ⅲ.情感态度价值观
通过本课时的学习,学生不仅掌握以-ed和-ing结尾的形容词用法,而且还可以加强他们对词的归纳能力。
【重点难点】
Ⅰ.教学重点
学习以-ed和-ing为结尾的动词用做形容词的用法,掌握一些相关的动词的发音规律,提高学生的发音水平和能力。
Ⅱ.教学难点
以-ed和-ing结尾动词用作形容词的正确使用;怎样正确掌握该类形容词的使用;怎样正确发好以-ed的语音和总结它的读音规律。
【教学环境】
本节课采用在教室环境中完成课堂内容,主要通过教师和学生互动相互表达的方法,认识和了解、复习相关的语法知识以及读音规律。准备相关的练习题和短小的句子的写作是掌握该课时内容的一个重要的方式和方法。另外,使用课件和录音机有助于帮助学生在视、听两个方面比较直观的掌握和总结相关语法和语音的规律,对于激发学生的学习积极性有非常大的帮助。
【教学方法】
采用任务式和课堂交际式的教学途径。通过教师引导、学生个人互动、小组活动的方式来引导学生对于-ed和-ing的掌握和理解;在完成语法2的学习之后,采用录音机教学来提高学生对语音学习的积极性,使他们积极投入到对语音知识的学习之中去;在本节课的最后,让学生自己总结以-ed的发音规律,从而达到学生自我总结知识,提高认知知识能力目的。
【教学思路】
先采用复习课文中的相关-ed和-ing的句子,从而挑选出以-ed和-ing为结尾的单词,然后通过相关的练习题来使学生对于以-ed和-ing结尾的形容词有进一步的了解和认识,从而总结他们在句子中的使用规律;通过录音机播放-ed的读音,结合课文中学习过的以-ed结尾的形容词,总结-ed的读音规律。
【教学过程】
Step Ⅰ Lead-in
Check up the homework with all the class to make sure that the students finish it, then have a revision about Grammar 1 to be sure the students know about the Present tense.
设计意图:此部分的目的是让学生复习阅读课中的语法:现在时。这样做既可以完成对上节知识的回顾,也可以为学习本节课的语法知识做好准备。
Step Ⅱ Grammar 2
(Ⅰ) Instruct the student to read the passage My First Day at Senior High to underline the adjective with-ing or-ed endings, then organize the students to discuss the relationship between -ed and –ing. The student can do this part individually and then compare their answers with their deskmates. Finally call back the answers from the students and write then on the blackboard:

put more adjectives endings in –ed and –ing on the blackboard if necessary.
设计意图:该部分主要是利用课文中的有关-ed 和-ing的单词的结构,使学生对于以-ed和-ing结尾的动词用作形容词有一个充分的认识和理解。
(Ⅱ)Look through the structures on page 6 and do activity 2:
To make the students know more information about such adjectives ending in –ed & –ing. You can show some sentences in which words ending in –ed and –ing on the screen.
(Show the following sentences on the screen).
His old story made us very bored.
He was excited at what I said.
We are moved by the moive.
This is an interesting story.
It was boring to wait for the others.
The story is quite moving.
The teacher gives the students a few minutes to perceive the sentences and then encourage them to put out the different meaning of –ing and –ed of the same word. Ask them to choose the correct explanation.

The –ing form shows things: The –ed form describes people.
The –ing form describes the people or things that cause the feeling: The –ed form tells us how people feel.
(The second one is correct!)
设计意图:观察和利用相关的练习,总结出-ed和-ing在句子中的位置和它们在句中的作用。
(Ⅲ) Practice
Task: finish the exercises in activity 3 on page 7.
Read the example to the class and make sure that the students know what they have to do. After this, you can ask the students to finish this task individually and then call back the answers from the whole class to check their answers in pairs.

Step Ⅲ pronunciation.
(Ⅰ) Listen to the pronunciation of these words with your recorder.
(show the following words on the screen)

You ask the students to look at the words and play the tape and have the students follow. Ask the following question.
What is different about the pronunciation of the ends of the words in different groups?
(Suggested answers:)
amazed bored tired are pronounced with –ed as /d/.
embarrassed is pronounced with –ed as /t/
disappointed excited interested are pronounced with –ed as /id/
设计意图:通过播放录音机中-ed的读音和发音,使学生初步了解几组词组中-ed的读音。
(Ⅱ)Play the tape and make the students listen to the sentences in Grammar 2 activity 3. In the course of listening you may pause for the students to repeat and then make them practice in pairs and get the order of the pronunciation of –ed.
设计意图:再次展示activity 3 中的有关-ed的读音,总结出-ed的读音规律,使学生掌握和巩固-ed的读音规律。
Step Ⅳ Homework.
