【总结】基数词的基本构成如下:
1.
1-12为基数词中的基本数词。
2.
13-19的基数词在数词3-9后加-teen构成。其中13
(thirteen),15
(fifteen),18
(eighteen)发生拼写变化。
3.
20-99之间的整十位数,
在基数词2-9之后加后缀-ty构成。其中20
(twenty),

(thirty),

(forty),
50
(fifty),
80(eighty)拼写发生变化。个位数不为零的十位数,
由十位数加个位数构成,中间用连字符号。
4.
整百位数由基数词1-9加hundred构成。百位数中若十位数不为零,
百位数与十位数之间用and连接,
也可以省略;
但百位数后直接加个位数时,
and
一般不能省略。如:

百万以million作单位表示。

二、序数词

序数词1-3为特殊变化,

(第九)
和twelfth
(第12)的特殊拼写。
3.
20-99之间的整十位数在构成序数词时,
将相应基数词词尾-y变成-i,
再加-eth。如:
twentieth
(第20),
fiftieth
(第50)等。其余个位数不为零的十位数在构成序数词时,
十位数用基数词表示,
个位数用序数词表示。如:
twenty-first
(第21),
thirty-seventh
(第37)。
4.
整百位数构成序数词时,
在hundred后面加上-th。如:

(第100),

hundredth
(第200)。百位数含十位数和个位数构成序数词时,
只需将最后一个数变成序数词。如:

千至百万的数构成序数词时,

Addition

taking
one
number
away
from
another.

adding
a
number
to
itself
a
particular
number
of
times.
If
each
child
has

and

Division
is
separating
(分开)
something
into
parts.
