二、Procedure:
The first period
Part 1
1)Getting ready
a) T: (Point to the pictures on the page.) Are these elephants Where are the black shoes What are these
b) Continue until you have covered all six pictures.
2)Using the book
i. T: Now, let’s listen.
ii. Play A, then pause.
iii. T: Which picture is it Is it this one How about this one
iv. Model drawing a line from A to the picture.
v. Play the tape and have Ss match.
Part 2
1)Getting ready
A) Write shoes, shirt and skirt on the board.
b) Ask S1 to come up to the board.
c) Say skirt and ask S1 to circle the word.
d) Continue with other Ss and other words.
2)Using the book
e) T: Look at the three words in each group. Circle one word and then match it to its picture.
f) Put Ss in pairs to help each other.
Part 3
1)Getting ready
A Point to each fruit in picture A.
T: What are these [Ss: They’re (mangoes).]
B Point to each desk in picture B.
T: Where are the shoes [Ss: They’re (on) the desk.]
Point to each item in picture C.
T: What’s this [It’s a pink lamp.]
2)Using the book
C Have Ss look at the pictures in the boxes.
D T: Listen and circle the correct picture.
E Stop after each sentence and let Ss circle the picture.
Part 4
1)Getting ready
Read out each word in the boxes and have Ss repeat
2)Using the book
A Have Ss look at the words.
B T: Listen and circle the correct word.
C Have Ss repeat the words as they are circling them.
Part 5
1) Getting ready
A Read out the words in the left column and have Ss repeat.
B Have Ss look at the pictures across the top row.
T: (point to each picture.) What are these [Ss: They’re (socks).]
2) Using the book
C T: I say the alphabet. You say the word. OK T: A. [Ss: Mangoes.]
D T: Can you find the mangoes Check here.
(Model putting a checkmark in the appropriate box.) Continue with the rest.
The second period
1. Finish the exercises in Unit 8 in Workbook and Writing book.
2. Talk about the picture of Bonus 2.
The third period
Have a test from Units 5-8.
