Every
town
in
the
United
States
has
a
post
office.
Some
are
very
small,
and
you
may
also
find
them
in
the
corner
of
a
shop.
Others
are
larger
buildings.
They
are
open
on
weekdays
and
on
Saturday
mornings.
From
Monday
to
Friday,
they
are
usually
open
from
8:30
am
to
16:30
pm.
If
you
know
how
much
the
postage
(邮费)
is
for
your
letter,
you
can
buy
stamps
at
any
window.
In
some
post
offices,
you
can
buy
stamps
from
machines.
Stamps
are
sold
at
different
prices,
from
one
cent
to
many
dollars.
If
you
are
not
sure
how
much
the
postage
is
for
your
letter,
you
may
ask
the
man
or
the
woman
in
the
post
office
for
help.
He
or
she
will
give
you
the
stamps
you
need.
If
you
are
sending
your
letter
far
away,
you
should
use
airmail
envelopes.
Remember
that
postage
will
be
more
expensive
for
a
letter
to
be
sent
outside
the
country.
At
a
post
office,
you
can
also
buy
postcards.
A
postcard
is
cheaper
than
a
letter.
Usually
the
postage
for
a
postcard
is
about
half
that
of
a
letter.
The
postcards
that
you
buy
at
a
post
office
do
not
have
pictures.
And
they
are
not
to
be
sent
outside
the
country.
Sending
letters
is
an
easy
and
cheap
way
to
keep
in
touch
with
people

countries.

In
November,
2011,
a
robot
called
Curiosity
was
sent
into
space
by
scientists
in
California.
On
August
6,
2012,
after
more
than
eight
months
of
travel,
Curiosity
reached
Mars.
The
robot
landed
near
Mars'
equator
(赤道).
Minutes
later,
it
sent
back
to
the
earth
a
black
and-white
picture
of
its
own
wheels
on
Mars.
Weighing
about
a
ton,
the
robot
is
the
heaviest
Mars
explorer
yet.
The
three
Mars
robots
were
sent
before
Curiosity
depended
on
large
airbags
for
a
soft,
safe
landing.
But
Curiosity's
weight
made
landing
very
difficult.
The
scientists
planned
a
number
of
steps
to
slow
down
the
spaceship
carrying
Curiosity
so
that
it
would
not
go
crashing
into
Mars.
As
it
came
close
to
Mars,
a
large
parachute
opened,
helping
to
slow
down
the
landing.
Later,
other
things
helped
slow
it
down
more.
In
the
end,
Curiosity
had
a
safe,
gentle
landing.
Curiosity
will
stay
on
Mars
for
98
weeks,
looking
for
the
ingredients
(组成部分)
of
life,
and
might
find
an
answer
to
the
question
of
whether
or
not
Mars
once
had
life.
Scientists
hope
that
Curiosity
will
make
some
big
discoveries.
But
for
the
moment
they
are
happy
that
their
latest
robot
made
it
to
Mars
safely.
Charles
Elachi,
director
of
the
landing
team,
compared
his
team
of
scientists
to
a
team
of
Olympic
athletes.
"This
team
came
back
with
a
gold
medal,"
he
said.

Every
morning,
a
woman
baked
bread
for
her
and
her
family
and
an
extra
piece
for
a
hungry
passer-by.
She
would
always
put
the
extra
piece
of
bread
on
the
window
sill.
She
noticed
that
a
hunchback
(驼背)
came
every
day
and
took
the
extra
piece.
Instead
of
saying
thanks
to
her,
he
would
say,
"The
bad
you
do
remains
with
you.
The
good
you
do
comes
back
to
you!
"
This
went
on,
day
after
day.
Finally,
the
woman
got
very
angry.
"He
is
so
impolite!"
she
said
to
herself.
One
day,
she
added
some
poison
to
the
piece
of
bread
she
prepared
for
him!
When
she
was
about
to
put
the
piece
of
bread
on
the
window
sill,
she
stopped.
"What
am
I
doing "
she
said.
Immediately,
she
threw
the
bread
into
the
fire,
prepared
another
one
and
put
it
on
the
window
sill.
As
usual,
the
hunchback
came,
picked
up
the
bread
and
said
those
words
to
her.
That
evening,
there
was
a
knock
on
the
door.
It
was
the
woman's
son,
hungry
and
weak.
Looking
at
his
mother
he
said,
"Mom,
I
was
too
hungry
to
walk
any
further
a
mile
away.
But
just
then,
an
old
hunchback
was
kind
enough
to
give
me
a
piece
of
bread."
Then
the
woman
realized
the
meaning
of
the
words,
"The
bad
you
do
remains
with
you.
The
good
you
do
comes
back
to
you!"

E
I'm
Graham
Hughes,
from
Britain.
Four
years
ago,
I
decided
to
travel
alone
to
every
country
in
the
world.
I
did
this
for
many
reasons:
to
set
a
Guinness
World
Record;
to
raise
money
for
charity;
to
tell
great
stories
to
my
grandchildren.
But
the
main
reason
was
to
show
that
the
world
isn't
a
terrible
scary
place
and
that
you
can
go
anywhere
with
patience.
I
didn't
take
an
airplane
mainly
because
nobody
had
done
it
yet.
Besides,
by
travelling
on
the
bus
or
train
I
could
spend
more
time
with
the
local
people.
And
it
was
a
lot
cheaper.
There
were
many
interesting
things
as
well
as
difficulties
during
the
trip.
One
place
I
will
never
forget
is
Iran.
It
is
the
friendliest
nation
in
the
world.
I
was
treated
like
a
guest
by
everybody
I
met.
At
one
time,
on
a
bus,
an
old
lady
smiled
at
me
and
passed
me
her
mobile
phone.
The
man
on
the
phone
told
me
in
English
that
the
woman
was
his
grandmother.
She
wanted
to
invite
me
to
her
home
and
cook
me
breakfast
because
she
was
worried
that
I
wouldn't
have
anything
to
eat
the
next
morning.
After
my
journey,
I
have
learnt
that
there
are
good
people
who
will
help
a
stranger
in
need,
all
over
the
world.
I
have
also
learnt
that
people,
wherever
they
live,
are
not
that
different.
Finally,
I
have
learnt
that
nobody
knows
what
will
happen
at
the
end
of
the
day,
so
we
should
enjoy
the
journey
during
the
day.
