S2: No, it isn’t. Asking for agreement or confirmationWe use a falling intonation when we are asking for agreement.We use a rising intonation when we are asking for confirmation.反意疑问句的语调分两种情况:
若说话者对所陈述的内容没有把握,
想询问对方是否正确,则陈述句部分用降调,简略问句用升调;
— Your uncle is tall, isn’t he?
— No, he’s very short.
若说话者对所陈述的内容已经很有把握,只是想要对方同意自己的观点,或是想从对方那里得到证实,则前后两部分都用降调。
— It’s a fine day, isn’t it?

in ancient Greece 公元前9-8世纪,希腊氏族社会逐步瓦解,城邦制的奴隶社会逐渐形成,建立了200多个城邦。城邦各自为政,无统一君主,城邦之间战争不断。为了应付战争,各城邦都积极训练士兵。士兵需要强壮身体,而体育是培养能征善战士兵的有力手段。
战争促进了希腊体育运动的开展,古奥运会的比赛项目也带有明显的军事烙印。连续不断的战事使人民感到厌恶,普遍渴望能有一个赖以休养生息的和平环境。
后来斯巴达王和伊利斯王签订了“神圣休战月”条约。于是,为准备兵源的军事训练和体育竞技,逐渐变为和平与友谊的运动会。The origin of the Olympics竞技赛会的组织者由奴隶主贵族的代表人物—

2. 竞技赛会的仲裁委员会由宙斯神殿中的专职

4. 竞技比赛只能在个人之间进行,不能在团体
