本节课是外研版英语八年级上册Module 10 Unit 3. Module10的话题是天气，经过了Unit 1和Unit 2 的学习之后，学生应该对本话题有了较为全面和深入的了解。本节课以创设的情景贯穿全文，以学生为主体，循序渐进，从基础语言运用，到掌握文章的构思，再进行有效的作文赏析，培养学生的写作技能。根据《英语（新标准）教学指南》本节课采用了学习策略中的社交策略，并采用多媒体课件进行教学。
2. 教学背景分析
教学内容分析：
Module 10 围绕“天气”这一话题，开展听，说，读，写活动。要求学生能听懂天气预报，能谈论、描述天气情况，能够读懂描述天气情况的语言材料，能够就游览某地给出建议。
本课是这一模块最后一课，属于写作课。写作课是对前面两个单元学习的综合运用，所以我也设计了谈论和阅读的环节来复习前面的内容，让学生更好的运用新学习的知识。
学生情况分析：
该班的学生英语水平中等偏上，人数较多。本节课的写作主题是就游览中国给出建议，我担心题目太大会让孩子无从下手，所以把题目范围缩小到熟悉的惠州，并且介绍了部分惠州著名的景点。

5. 教学过程设计
步骤1：Leading-in
The teacher shows several pictures to students, and asks students to answer some questions about the pictures.
【设计意图】写作话题的导入。把前面单元学过的知识与现实生活结合起来，引起学生的兴趣。在这个环节中呈现写作的中心句，为下一个步骤作铺垫。
步骤2：One minute free talk. Students work in pairs to talk about the places they have visited before.

步骤3：After the free talk, students are shown to two emails about the best time to visit Britain.

步骤4：Students are asked to guess what the five questions are and read the answers together.
【设计意图】把写作和阅读结合起来，让学生更加明确写作需要运用到的句型。

【设计意图】伴随着熟悉的音乐回顾惠州的著名景点，吸引学生的注意力，轻松地完成语言知识的储备，进一步为写作做准备。
步骤6：Draw a mind map.
【设计意图】利用思维导图把前面的语言知识储备和写作的主题有机的结合起来，让学生的思路更加清晰。
步骤7：Ask students to write an email in reply.
【设计思路】学生通过写作介绍自己的家乡，能够激发他们对写作的兴趣和对家乡的热爱。

Present several emails. Ask students to work in groups and discuss how many scores the email can get and find out the mistakes in the email.
