展示各种出行方式的图片,看图说话,教授核心句型及词汇

学生听课本录音,回答相关问题。
学生在老师的指导下阅读课文,完成下面的表格。

学生通过接龙游戏,操练核心词汇及句型,并做适当拓展。请五六位学生上来,每人抽取一张写有交通方式的词组的卡片,根据卡片上的词组开展句型练习。
T: I come to school on foot. How do you come to school?
S1: I come to school by bus. How do you come to school?
S2: I come to school by car. How do you come to school?
While-task procedures
让学生与同桌展开对子问答。
Do you live near school?
Yes ,I do.

请学生运用所学的句型,分组完成下面的调查表。
让学生继续使用上面活动的调查表,填入家人上班的交通方式,并开展对子活动。
然后指导学生完成think and write 的练习。
出示Learn the sounds 的儿歌单词卡片sp,请学生跟读并记住sp的发音。
Post –task activities
请每组学生代表口头汇报各组数据,教师汇报总数据后,请学生仿照Do a survey 中的柱形图绘制班级学生的交通方式统计表,然后完成书面汇报,并贴在墙上展示。
让学生介绍同学或朋友上学的交通方式。

本节课在歌曲,chant, 卡片, 图片的辅助下,学生对于如何表达怎样上学,如何上班清晰明朗许多。Underground这个词的读音和书写对部分学生有一定的难度。

出示城市交通标志,为Look and read 作铺垫。

1. 介绍Look and read 短文中的主要人物Ms Guo
T: Look ! This is Ms Guo. She is a teacher.

S2: She goes to work by underground.
展示课本第11页Look and read 后继续练习课本中的地图,指出Ms Guo 的家和学校的位置。
播放Look and read 的多媒体或录音,然后展示配图,逐幅学习课文内容。

Which bus does she take?
Which bus stop does she get off?
出示站名Green Street Station. Park Street Station 和Spring Street Bus Stop打乱顺序,让学生听完录音后把路线排序。
引导学生树立环保出行的意识。
Post – task activities
教师展示自己上班路上经过的车站的照片,想学生介绍上班路线。
T: I live far from our school. I come to school by and by underground. First, I go to this bus stop.
Then I take Bus---to Underground Station
老师边说边画路线图,然后引导学生画出自己上学的路线图。
根据《活动手册》中的task, 要求每个学生自己完成Think and write.教师先让学生反馈他们想去的地方,然后把学生按地点分组,学生在组内完成Discuss and complete.

本节课容量有点大,难度也不小。学生对journey, underground station, Park Street, bus stop 掌握不是太好,读起来拗口,还需要在下一节课去巩固。
