Teaching Aims:
1. Reviewing the knowledge points in Unit 1.
2. Using present continuous tense to describe an action taking place at the time of speaking.
3. Asking Wh- questions.

Present participle: doing, singing, reading, playing
2. Conversations: Where’s Danny He’s in the playground.
What’s he doing He’s playing.

Word cards, pictures.
Procedures Contents Methods Purpose
Pre-task preparation Chanting Have a race. Show the verbs. Students try to speak out their present participle forms.Do some chanting. E.g. Paint, paint, I’m painting. 通过竞赛复习巩固上节课所学内容。通过儿歌的创编激发学生学习兴趣并达到灵活应用复习巩固的作用。
While-task procedure 1. Speaking practice. Showing pictures students look and say. 学生通过观察图片内容展开想象,锻炼了学生看图说话的能力。
2. Questions and answers. T: Who’s he Where’s he What’s he doing 对本单元所有类型的特殊疑问句进行有效的复习和梳理。
3. Imitation Group activity.E.g. Where’s he/ she What’s he/ she doing Students act out the dialogue in front of the class. 通过小组合作学习使不同层次的学生都得到了发展。
Post-task Consolidation Talking about your favourite pictures. Students collect their favourite pictures and make new dialogues. 学生们收集自己喜爱的图片,进行介绍或开展对话,增加信息量。学生在创编对话过程中,不断发展语言能力。
Assignment 1. 练习使用Where, what, whose造句。跟随磁带朗读课文。2. 完成语法训练相应内容。
