1. Asking ‘how’ questions to find out quantity. E.g. How many children in Class 4A have dogs
2. Using numerals to show quantity. E.g.: Three children have dogs.
Teaching Aids:
pet, tape, the multi-media system

Pre-task preparation 1.Revision Ask some students to show their paper about their pets.2.Review‘how many’ 复习上节课的知识，熟练掌握It has got…这个句型。复习已学过的单词，有助于本节新课，为新课做了很好的铺垫。
While-task procedure 2. Learn the new words and the sounds. 1. Answer questions. Who is Min’s friend --Mog. Who is Superdog’s friend --Peppy. Who is Milly’s friend --Ella.2. New words. dig—digging shake—shaking fall—falling leaf—leaves3. —shThe fish in on the dish. 通过听音回答问题，可以提高学生的听力水平，并能够带着问题去阅读，培养孩子解决问题的能力。
