第二部分:阅读理解(共两节,满分40分)
第一节(共15小题;每小题2分,满分30分)
阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出最佳选项。
A
Some
researchers,
such
as
David
T.
Lykken,
have
found
that
about
50%
of
a
person's
happiness
depends
on
one's
genes.
This
finding
is
based
on
studying
identical
twins,
whose
happiness
is
50%
correlated
even
when
growing
up
in
different
houses.
About
10%
to
15%
is
a
result
of
various
measurable
life
circumstance
variables
(变量),
such
as
status,
health,
income,
sex
and
others.
The
remaining
40%
is
a
combination
of
unknown
factors
and
the
results
of
actions
that
individuals
engage
in
to
become
happier.
These
actions
may
differ
between
people.
For
example,
being
outgoing
may
benefit
a
person
by
placing
himself
in
situations
involving
large
amounts
of
human
interaction.
Also,
exercise
has
been
shown
to
increase
a
person's
level
of
happiness.
Even
simple
exercise,
such
as
running,
is
regarded
as
a
key
factor
in
making
a
person
happy.
Human
relationships
are
found
to
be
the
most
important
correlation
with
human
happiness.
A
widely
publicized
study
in
2008
published
in
the
British
Medical
Journal
reported
that
happiness
in
social
networks
may
spread
from
person
to
person.
Researchers
followed
nearly
5,000
individuals
for
20
years
in
the
long standing
Framingham
Heart
Study
and
found
that
clusters
(群)
of
happiness
and
unhappiness
spread
up
to
3
degrees
of
separation
on
average.
Happiness
tended
to
spread
through
close
relationships
like
friends,
relatives,
and
next door
neighbors.
And
the
researchers
reported
that
happiness
spread
more
quickly
than
unhappiness
through
the
network.
Moreover,
the
structure
of
the
social
network
appeared
to
have
an
effect
on
happiness,
as
people
who
were
very
central
(with
many
friends
and
friends
of
friends)
were
more
likely
to
be
happy.
Overall,
the
results
suggest
that
happiness
might
spread
through
a
population
like
a
virus.
Research
in
the
US
has
found
that
older
Americans
are
generally
happier
than
younger
adults.
The
effect
does
not
appear
to
be
generational,
because
it
has
been
found
that
happiness
increased
over
time
for
the
older
people
who
were
studied.
While
older
individuals
reported
more
health
problems,
they
reported
fewer
problems
overall.
Young
adults
reported
more
anger,
anxiety,
depression,
financial
problems,
troubled
relationships
and
career
stress
than
any
other
age
group.

The

The

way.
New
studies
show
how
food
and
its
production
affect
the
globe
and
its
warming
climate.
You've
probably
heard
of
global
warming:
The
temperature
is
on
the
rise
because
humankind
has
been
releasing
plenty
of
gases
into
the
atmosphere.
One
of
these
greenhouse
gases
is
carbon
dioxide.
What
does
this
have
to
do
with
food
A
big
part
of
the
carbon
dioxide
that
we
put
in
the
atmosphere
every
year
comes
from
the
process
of
making
and
eating
food.
The
production
of
meat
produces
a
lot
of
that
carbon
dioxide.
And
much
of
meat's
contribution
comes
from
beef,
which
is
responsible
for
releasing
even
more
warming
gases
into
the
atmosphere.
The
process
of
making
a
hamburger,
for
example,
requires
a
lot
of
energy.
A
cow
has
to
be
fed
and
raised
on
farmland,
and
cow
waste
is
a
major
source
of
methane
—an
especially
powerful
greenhouse
gas.
Thecow
has
to
be
killed.
The
meat
has
to
be
processed
andshipped
to
a
shop,
which
takes
fuel.
Most
of
the
cow
won't
even
be
used
for
meat
that
people
eat.
By
the
time
a
hamburger
finally
lands
on
a
dinner
plate,
it
has
had
a
heavy
effect
on
the
environment.
We
can
reduce
the
production
of
global warming
gases
by
eating
less
beef.
Other
kinds
of
meat
like
pork
and
chicken
do
less
harm
to
the
environment
—
at
least
in
terms
of
the
amount
of
greenhouse
gases
released.
All
kinds
of
meat
are
harder
on
the
planet
than
vegetables.
To
grow
and
eat
a
pound
of
potatoes,
for
example,
sends
less
than
one quarter
pound
of
carbon
dioxide
into
the
air.
So
changing
our
diet
to
less
meat
and
more
vegetables,
as
it
turns
out,
may
do
the
world
some
good.
29.The
questions
in
the
first
paragraph
are
used
to
________.
A.show
the
author's
concern
about
food
safety
B.express
the
author's
puzzlement
at
what
to
eat
C.remind
readers
of
something
delicious
to

discussed
in
the
passage
解析:选D 推理判断题。作者在开头提出一系列问题是为了引入本文的话题:我们的饮食对气候变暖有一定影响。
30.In
the
author's
opinion,
which
of
the
following
should
be
a
great
concern
for
meat eaters
A.The
process
of

conditions.
C.There
is
a
lot
of
carbon
dioxide
in
meat.
D.Animals
suffer
greatly
as
a
result
of
global
warming.
解析:选A 细节理解题。由第三段最后两句可知,生产肉类的过程会产生大量的二氧化碳,并且生产牛肉的过程还会向大气中排放更多的温室气体。
31.Which
of
the
following
is
the
most
eco friendly
food
according
to
the
passage
A.Beef.
B.Carrot.
C.Pork.
D.Chicken.
解析:选B 细节理解题。由最后一段可知,任何肉类对地球造成的危害都要高于蔬菜,因此B项是最环保的食物。
32.We
can
learn
from
the
passage
that
________.
A.eating
beef
is
good
for
our
health
B.it

C.growing

can
help
clean
the
air
D.pork
does
less
harm
to
the
environment
than

解析:选D 细节理解题。倒数第二段第一句提到,人们可以通过少吃牛肉来减少温室气体的排放量;紧接着第二句提到,在温室气体的排放量方面,其他的肉类,如猪肉和鸡肉对环境的危害要小一些,因此D项正确。
D
The
little
girl
lived
in
a
small,
very
simple,
poor
house
on
a
hill
and
as
she
grew
she
would
play
in
the
small
garden
and
as
she
grew
she
was
able
to
see
over
the
garden
fence
and
across
the
valley
to
a
wonderful
house
high
on
the
hill
—
and
this
house
had
golden
windows,
so
golden
and
shining
that
the
little
girl
would
dream
of
how
magic
it
would
be
to
grow
up
and
live
in
a
house
with
golden
windows
instead
of
an
ordinary
house
like
hers,
although
she
loved
her
parents
and
her
family.
When
she
got
to
an
age
when
she
gained
enough
skill
and
sensibility
to
go
outside
her
garden
fence,
she
asked
her
mother
if
she
could
go
for
a
bike
ride
outside
the
gate
and
down
the
lane.
After
pleading
with
her,
her
mother
finally
allowed
her
to
go.
The
day
was
beautiful
and
the
little
girl
knew
exactly
where
she
was
heading!
Down
the
lane
and
across
the
valley,
she
rode
her
bike
until
she
got
to
the
gate
of
the
golden
house
across
on
the
other
hill.
As
she
got
down
from
her
bike
and
leant
it
against
the
gate
post,
she
focused
on
the
path
that
led
to
the
house
and
then
on
the
house
itself
...and
was
so
disappointed
as
she
realized
all
the
windows
were
plain
and
rather
dirty.
So
sad
she
didn't
go
any
further
and
turned,
heart
broken
...As
she
glanced
up
she
saw
a
sight
to
amaze
her
...there
across
the
way
on
her
side
of
the
valley
was
a
little
house
and
its
windows
glistened
golden
...as
the
sun
shone
on
her
little
home.
She
realized
that
she
had
been
living
in
her
golden
house
and
all
the
love
and
care
she
found
there
was
what
made
her
home
the
“golden
house”.
Everything
she
dreamed
was
right
there
in
front
of
her
nose!
语篇解读:本文主要讲述了一个小女孩从小梦想着生活在对面山上的有金色窗子的房子里,但是当她长大后,亲自去看了所谓的带金色窗子的房子后,她的梦想破灭了。她突然意识到,其实自己一直生活在由来自家庭的爱与关心构成的“带金色窗子的房子”里。
33.Why
did
the
little
girl
dream
of
living
in
a
house
high
on
the
hill
across
the
valley
A.Because
her
parents
treated
her
very
badly.
B.Because
she
admired
the
golden
windows
of
the
house.
C.Because
the
house
across
the
valley
looked
bigger
and
more
comfortable.
D.Because
she
didn't
love
her
parents
and
family.
解析:选B 细节理解题。根据第一段的“...and
this
house
had
golden
windows...”可知,女孩之所以梦想住在山谷对面的高山上的房子里,是因为她认为这座房子有金色窗子。而由本段最后一句可知D项不正确。A和C项未提及。故选B项。
34.Which
of
the
following
is
the
reason
why
the
golden
house
came
into
being
A.The
house
was
made
of
gold.
B.The
windows
of
the
house
were
made
of
gold.
C.The
windows
of
the
house
were
very
bright
and
clean.
D.The
sun
shone
on
the
windows
of
the
house.
解析:选D 推理判断题。根据倒数第二段的内容可知,当小女孩站在远处看自己的家时,自己的家因为阳光的照射也变成了“带金色窗子的房子”,故可推测小女孩以前看到的“带金色窗子的房子”形成的原因也是因为阳光的照射。因此选D项。
35.What
is
the
best
title
of
the
story
A.A
beautiful
dream
of
a
little
girl
B.The
house
with
the
golden
windows
C.A
girl
looking
for
a
golden
house
D.Cherish
people
and
things
around
you
解析:选B 主旨大意题。从全文内容尤其是最后一段可知,本文主要是以“带金色窗子的房子”为主线来进行展开的。此处的“带金色窗子的房子”非本意,而是指小女孩一直生活在由来自家庭对她的爱所构成的“金屋”里,故选B项。而D项则是干扰项,是本文所要告诉我们的深层哲理。

Dear
editor,
We
have
held
a
discussion
about
whether
it
is
good
or
not
for
a
top
student
to
share
a
desk
with
a
slower
student.
Some
are
for
the
idea.
They
believe
that
everyone
has
strengths
as
well
as
weaknesses.
It's
true
that
slower
students
are
not
good
at
lessons,
but
they
might
do
well
in
other
fields
like
sports
or
arts.
Therefore,
by
sharing
a
desk
together,
top
students
and
slower
students
can
learn
from
each
other
and
even
develop
friendship.
In
addition,
top
students
can
help
slower
ones
gain
self confidence
by
helping
them
with
their
lessons,
which
benefits
them
all.
However,
others
don't
hold
the
same
view.
They
think
that
sharing
a
desk
together
may
make
good
students
form
bad
habits.
Besides,
they
are
worried
that
some
slower
students
may
interrupt
top
students
so
often
to
ask
for
help
that
top
students
cannot
concentrate
on
their
studies.
As
far
as
I'm
concerned,
I
would
choose
to
share
a
desk
with
a
slower
student
so
that
we
can
learn
from
each
other
and
make
progress
together.

阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出最佳选项。
A
Some
researchers,
such
as
David
T.
Lykken,
have
found
that
about
50%
of
a
person's
happiness
depends
on
one's
genes.
This
finding
is
based
on
studying
identical
twins,
whose
happiness
is
50%
correlated
even
when
growing
up
in
different
houses.
About
10%
to
15%
is
a
result
of
various
measurable
life
circumstance
variables
(变量),
such
as
status,
health,
income,
sex
and
others.
The
remaining
40%
is
a
combination
of
unknown
factors
and
the
results
of
actions
that
individuals
engage
in
to
become
happier.
These
actions
may
differ
between
people.
For
example,
being
outgoing
may
benefit
a
person
by
placing
himself
in
situations
involving
large
amounts
of
human
interaction.
Also,
exercise
has
been
shown
to
increase
a
person's
level
of
happiness.
Even
simple
exercise,
such
as
running,
is
regarded
as
a
key
factor
in
making
a
person
happy.
Human
relationships
are
found
to
be
the
most
important
correlation
with
human
happiness.
A
widely
publicized
study
in
2008
published
in
the
British
Medical
Journal
reported
that
happiness
in
social
networks
may
spread
from
person
to
person.
Researchers
followed
nearly
5,000
individuals
for
20
years
in
the
long standing
Framingham
Heart
Study
and
found
that
clusters
(群)
of
happiness
and
unhappiness
spread
up
to
3
degrees
of
separation
on
average.
Happiness
tended
to
spread
through
close
relationships
like
friends,
relatives,
and
next door
neighbors.
And
the
researchers
reported
that
happiness
spread
more
quickly
than
unhappiness
through
the
network.
Moreover,
the
structure
of
the
social
network
appeared
to
have
an
effect
on
happiness,
as
people
who
were
very
central
(with
many
friends
and
friends
of
friends)
were
more
likely
to
be
happy.
Overall,
the
results
suggest
that
happiness
might
spread
through
a
population
like
a
virus.
Research
in
the
US
has
found
that
older
Americans
are
generally
happier
than
younger
adults.
The
effect
does
not
appear
to
be
generational,
because
it
has
been
found
that
happiness
increased
over
time
for
the
older
people
who
were
studied.
While
older
individuals
reported
more
health
problems,
they
reported
fewer
problems
overall.
Young
adults
reported
more
anger,
anxiety,
depression,
financial
problems,
troubled
relationships
and
career
stress
than
any
other
age
group.

Think
about
what
you
had
for
lunch:
Was
it
a
hamburger
A
chicken
sandwich
Barbecue
What
about
vegetables
Would
it
surprise
you
to
learn
that
what
you
eat
can
affect
the
whole
planet
It
can
—
in
a
big
way.
New
studies
show
how
food
and
its
production
affect
the
globe
and
its
warming
climate.
You've
probably
heard
of
global
warming:
The
temperature
is
on
the
rise
because
humankind
has
been
releasing
plenty
of
gases
into
the
atmosphere.
One
of
these
greenhouse
gases
is
carbon
dioxide.
What
does
this
have
to
do
with
food
A
big
part
of
the
carbon
dioxide
that
we
put
in
the
atmosphere
every
year
comes
from
the
process
of
making
and
eating
food.
The
production
of
meat
produces
a
lot
of
that
carbon
dioxide.
And
much
of
meat's
contribution
comes
from
beef,
which
is
responsible
for
releasing
even
more
warming
gases
into
the
atmosphere.
The
process
of
making
a
hamburger,
for
example,
requires
a
lot
of
energy.
A
cow
has
to
be
fed
and
raised
on
farmland,
and
cow
waste
is
a
major
source
of
methane
—an
especially
powerful
greenhouse
gas.
Thecow
has
to
be
killed.
The
meat
has
to
be
processed
andshipped
to
a
shop,
which
takes
fuel.
Most
of
the
cow
won't
even
be
used
for
meat
that
people
eat.
By
the
time
a
hamburger
finally
lands
on
a
dinner
plate,
it
has
had
a
heavy
effect
on
the
environment.
We
can
reduce
the
production
of
global warming
gases
by
eating
less
beef.
Other
kinds
of
meat
like
pork
and
chicken
do
less
harm
to
the
environment
—
at
least
in
terms
of
the
amount
of
greenhouse
gases
released.
All
kinds
of
meat
are
harder
on
the
planet
than
vegetables.
To
grow
and
eat
a
pound
of
potatoes,
for
example,
sends
less
than
one quarter
pound
of
carbon
dioxide
into
the
air.
So
changing
our
diet
to
less
meat
and
more
vegetables,
as
it
turns
out,
may
do
the
world
some
good.

C.remind

The
little

in
a
small,
very
simple,
poor
house
on
a

and
as
she
grew
she
would

the
small
garden
and
as
she
grew
she
was
able
to
see
over
the
garden
fence
and
across
the
valley
to
a
wonderful
house
high
on
the
hill
—
and
this
house
had
golden
windows,
so
golden
and
shining
that
the
little
girl
would
dream
of
how
magic
it
would
be
to
grow
up
and
live
in
a
house
with
golden
windows
instead
of
an
ordinary
house
like
hers,
although
she
loved
her
parents
and
her
family.
When
she
got
to
an
age
when
she
gained
enough
skill
and
sensibility
to
go
outside
her
garden
fence,
she
asked
her
mother
if
she
could
go
for
a
bike
ride
outside
the
gate
and
down
the
lane.
After
pleading
with
her,
her
mother
finally
allowed
her
to
go.
The
day
was
beautiful
and
the
little
girl
knew
exactly
where
she
was
heading!
Down
the
lane
and
across
the
valley,
she
rode
her
bike
until
she
got
to
the
gate
of
the
golden
house
across
on
the
other
hill.
As
she
got
down
from
her
bike
and
leant
it
against
the
gate
post,
she
focused
on
the
path
that

on
the
house

...and

So
sad
she

a

its
windows
glistened
golden

the

her
little

She
realized
that
she

in
her
golden

all
the
love

she

there

what
made
her
home
the
“golden

Everything
she

was
right
there

her
nose!

Simple
Ways
to
Get
Happy
We
are
not
suggesting
that
you
can
reach
a
permanent
state
called
“happiness”
and
remain
there.
But
there
are
many
ways
to
turn
the
path
of
anxiety,
anger,
and
sadness
into
a
state
of
happiness.
Here
are
four
ideas
to
get
you
started.
__36__.
Laugh
out
loud.
Just
expecting
a
happy,
funny
event
can
raise
levels
of
pleasure causing
hormones
(荷尔蒙)
and
lower
production
of
stress
hormones.
Researchers
at
the
University
of
California
tested
16
men
who
all
agreed
they
thought
a
certain
videotape
was
funny.
Half
were
told
three
days
in
advance
they
would
watch
it.
__37__
When
they
actually
watched
the
video,
their
levels
of
stress
hormones
dropped
greatly,
while
their
levels
of
pleasure causing
hormones
rose
27
percent.
Do
one
thing
at
a
time.
Edward
Suarez,
professor
of
medical
psychology
at
Duck,
found
that
people
who
do
several
things
at
the
same
time
are
more
likely
to
have
high
blood
pressure.
__38__
Instead
of
talking
on
the
phone
while
cleaning
the
kitchen,
sit
down
in
a
comfortable
chair
and
turn
your
entire
attention
over
to
the
conversation.
__39__
Although
relationships
help
take
away
stress
sometimes
you
need
time
to
recharge
and
reflect
on
your
own.
Take
yourself
out
to
lunch
or
to
a
movie,
or
simply
spend
an
afternoon
reading
at
home,
or
looking
through
books
in
a
bookstore.
Practice
mindfulness
__40__
Instead
of
worrying
about
your
check up
tomorrow
while
having
dinner
with
your
family,
focus
on
the
here
and
now
—
food,
the
company,
and
the
conversation.
A.Focus
on
the
present.
