to在句中表示“属于;为……所有”之意。=be
sb’s

(1)kid意为“小孩子,年轻人”,在口语中较为常见。此外它还可以用作动词,意为“哄骗,耍弄,开玩笑”。例如:

注意:kid作为动词用时,其现在分词,过去分词都要双写字母d后再作相应变化。即:kidding、kidded。
(2)picnic在句中用作名词,意为“野餐”。例如:

picnic进行野餐

★3.语法点击:表示推测的情态动词。
在英语中,表示对某件事物的确定程度,即表示推测的时候,我们通常会用到以下情态动词,must,
might,
could,
may,
can’t,
couldn’t.
①★.must用在肯定句中表示较有把握的推测,意为“一定”。
在回答由must引起的问题时,如果是否定的答复,不能用mustn't,而需要用needn't或don't
have
to,因为mustn't是“一定不要”的意思。例如:—Must
we
hand
in
our
exercises
today?—No,you
needn't.
★must
not的否定形式则表示“不应该”或‘不许可”,语气比较强烈。例如:
You
mustn't
play
on
the
road.
You
mustn't
eat
anything
until
you
see
the
doctor.
②.May
表示说话人的猜测,认为某一事情“或许”或“可能”发生。表示不太有把握的推测。在使用这一用法时需注意:
may表示“允许”的否定形式是must
not,意思是“不应该”“不许可”。例如May
I
take
this
book
out
of
the
reading-room?—No,you
mustn't.不行。
Might
表示推测时,不表示时态。只表示可能性更小。
③.Can用在否定句或疑问句中时表示说话人的“推测”和“不确定”
Could
也有怀疑和不确定的意思(在否定句中和疑问句中)
④表示否定推测,应用can’t,意为“不可能”
注意:1.表示对目前事情的推测,用“情态动词+动词原形。
表示对正在发生的事情的推测,用“情态动词+be+动词-ing”
表示对已发生过的事情进行推测,用“情态动词+have
been
+动词过去分词”。
