定语从句精讲精练——分隔性的定语从句
第一部分 讲解——分隔性定语从句
【定义】有时为了句子结构平衡或修辞的原因，在先行词与定语从句之间夹有其他成分，此时的定语从句便叫分隔性定语从句，是因为其与先行词分隔开来而得名。
【类型1】【先行词+其他定语+定语从句】
【例1】There are 6 students of my age, five of whom are boys.
与我同岁的有六个学生，其中五个是男孩。
【例2】The mineral elements from the soil that are usable by the plant must be dissolved before they can be taken into the root.
来源于土壤能被植物利用的矿物质成分必须得先进行分解进而才会被其吸收进根部。
【类型2】【先行词+状语+定语从句】
【例3】Never leave that until tomorrow which you can do today.
不要把今天能做完的事留到明天。
【例4】There are many students in our class who have great interest in English.
在我们班有很多学生对英语存在巨大兴趣。
【例5】If there is anything in the world that I should be thankful for, I believe it is my father’s encouragement.
如果世上有什么我应当感谢的话，我认为那就是我父亲的鼓励。
【类型3】【作主语的先行词+谓语部分+定语从句】
【例6】It can be predicted, however, that questions will arise which will require scientific answers.
然而，这件事能被预测：问题将会出现，而它们需要科学的回答。
【例7】These happy hours are brought back to me when I spent my holiday on the farm last summer.
我回忆起那些快乐的时光，那是去年我在农场度假的时候。
【例8】Nothing was illegal that we did.
我们所做的一切没有一件是不合法的。
【类型4】【作主语的关系词+插入语+定语从句的谓语部分】
【例9】Many students face problems when they have to study a subject that they think is difficult.
当很多学生不得不学习一门他们觉得很难的科目时，他们面临很多问题。
【例10】Sometimes the very things that we think make us unhappy are the things that make us realize who we are.
有时正好是那些让我们感到不高兴的事情使得我们意识到我们究竟是谁。
【类型5】【作宾语的关系词+插入语+定语从句的主谓部分】
【例11】The millionaire had a very ugly girl who I could not have dreamed many boys fell in love with.
那个百万富翁有一个很丑的女儿，我不可能想象很多男孩会爱上她的。
【例12】They pointed out the damage which they supposed last night’s storm had done.
他们指出他们认为是昨晚暴风雨所造成的损失。
【类型6】【定语从句的关系词后插入一个其他的成分】
【例13】Real friends are those who, whenever you’ve made a decision, support you by all means.
真正的朋友是，每当你做决定时，都会想尽办法支持你的那些人。
【例14】When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving much advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a gentle and tender hand.
当我们诚心的问我们自己，在我们生命中那些人对我们意味着最多，我们会经常发现是那些情愿选择分担我们的痛苦，用温柔的手触摸我们伤口的人，而却不是给予我们很多建议、解决事情的方法和治愈我们伤痛的人。
