Teaching aims:
知识目标：Using ‘like to’ to indicate preferences, e.g. I like to eat mooncakes.
能力目标：能表达简单的喜好。
情感目标：不偏食。

Teaching aids:
A cassette player, student’s book, some pictures, workbook pages 19 and 20 and wall-chart 1A.
Teaching procedure:

Warming-up 1. Sing a song2. Daily talk
Revision 1. Say and point the body parts. 2. Say and act.
Presentation Pre-task preparation1. Write some of the vocabulary learnt from past units on the board in pairs, e.g. ruler, draw; paper, read; lemon, pear; apple, toes, etc. Use a simple melody to sing out the words,2. Bring a box of mooncakes to class. Ask What are these When do you usually eat them While-task procedureI. Hold up a picture about Mid-Autumn Festival. Discuss what people do during this festival.2. Say “Do you want to know how Sam and May celebrate this festival ” Put up the Wall-chart and tell a story.3. Ask questions such as the following:What is daddy eating （A mooncake.）What is he saying （I like to eat mooncakes.）What fruit do you see on the table （Pears, bananas, an apple, a lemon.）What fruit do you like to eat （I like to eat ...）4. Play the cassette tape. Students listen and repeat several times.5. Show pictures of some food and fruit names students have learnt. Ask individual students to say ‘I like to eat…’
Consolidation 1. Play games. Wrap up a box. On the top cut a hole, which is large enough for a student to reach in and pull out a word card. Put some word cards for food and fruit in and let students read out the words and say ‘I like to eat...’2. Scene actions ‘Have a Mid-Autumn Festival party’.
