Teaching aims:
知识目标：Using nouns to identity things related to Mid-Autumn Festival （six words）.
能力目标：能运用所学的句型来描述上述六个单词。
情感目标：爱护大自然。

Teaching aids:
A cassette player, student’s book, some word and picture cards, Workbook pages 20 and 21 and wall-chart 1A.
Teaching procedure:
教学步骤 方法与手段 补充与修改
Warming-up 1. Sing a song2. Daily talk
Revision 1. Say and act.2. Put up some picture cards of the previous units. Under each picture write three words including the correct one. Ask students to come up and circle the right one.
Presentation Pre-task preparationSay Soon we will be celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival like Sam and May. Do you know what people eat and do during the festival While-task procedure1. Put up the wallchart for page 28 on the board. Discuss what people eat and do during this festival.2. Introduce the words ‘mooncake’, ‘taro’ and ‘bean’ using picture and word cards.3. Referring to the wallchart, point to the big and round moon. Say ‘Moon’ and ask students to repeat. Show picture and word card of ‘moon’. Read the word 4. Repeat step 3 to licit the other words.5. Open the Student’s Book to page 29. Invite students to listen to the cassette tape for ‘Let’s learn’. Then join in to practise the pronunciation.6. Share some mooncakes.7. Read the words.8. Say something about these new words.
Consolidation 1. Workbook page 20 & Workbook page 21.2. Make leaf print.
