教材分析:
This unit is very important in the whole book, for it introduce a new tense--- the Present Progressive tense to the student, which means that the teacher needs to not only show the students how the new words or the expressions are used, but help them to understand and farther more to learn to use the tense to talk about a event. And the teacher also has to lead the students to see the differences between what happens and what is happening. A story with plots and details is a good choice for the teacher to show these things. In such a passage, students can easily understand the time differences or the period of a certain activity is happening, which is the key to understand the tense.

In this part, I show some short pictures of people are doing different things in different cities in order to lead into the topic of this story --- The Dragon Boat Festival.
Let the students watch some pictures and answer the questions.

Reading
I. Fast Reading
In this activity, students are going to read the passage quickly and try to answer the question.

after doing this, students will know what the passage is about.
II. Carefully Reading
In this activity, Students are asked to read the passage carefully and accomplish some tasks.
Read the article again and underline:
