本课是人民教育出版社七年级英语下册第六单元第1课时，教材以“谈论正在发生的事情”为中心话题，通过展现同一时间内人们进行不同活动的场面，将学生带到谈论日常生活的话题中。该部分集中呈现了一些家庭日常活动的动词短语，并能过“打电话”的情景对话输入现在进行时的语言结构，训练学生运用该结构来表达和谈论正在发生的事情，使其在真实的交际情景中运用所学语言结构。
该课时的教学重点是让学生在具体语境中感悟、理解和学习现在进行时的用法。教学难点是要让学生对一般现在时态和现在进行时态的概念有所区别，以及把握动词现在分词的构成方法。

教学反思
（一）值得继续发扬的方面
1.课前我用一段欢快的视频导入，视频内容紧扣本课时内容，能够激发学生对本节课的兴趣，调动学生的学习积极性。
2.引入新课时我为学生们介绍了一家人正在进行的活动图片，贴近学生们的真实生活，学生们学习起来兴趣非常浓厚。
3.在几段听力练习中，我对学生进行了听前的指导——一定要做到听前预读问题与信息。
4.在本节听说课中，我充分运用了双人合作练习、四人小组合作讨论、学生上台做“小老师”为同学们讲解知识点、情景对话、学生到黑板前为同学批改小作文等多种方式，充分激动、调动了学生的主动性、积极性，大大活跃了课堂气氛，在学习过程中培养了学生们的自信心，发展了学生们自主学习和敢于展示自我的能力，培养了学生们的合作精神。
5.运用恰当的评价和激励方式。本节课我采取了小组合作竞赛的形式，表现积极、回答问题正确的小组可以一次获得一到两颗小五角星，使用good/very good/well done/good job等激励性语言对学生们的学习活动做出肯定与激励的评价。最终评出了三名优胜小组，我为他们颁发了奖杯，这对同学们是一种很大的鼓励。
6.板书设计有效,突出重难点；当堂训练针对性强，效果明显。
（二）需要改进提高的方面
部分同学对于“be动词+V-ing”掌握不到位，有的同学在做练习的时候，有粗心的现象。对be动词容易忘记，需要今后多加练习。
2. 对于课堂表现不积极的个别学生来说，课后我还需要对之进行鼓励，激励他们认真听讲，积极回答问题，锻炼自己。
