基础知识解析
一、部分否定与全部否定：
1、Not every/all/both; every/all/both…not…: 并不都……，为部分否定。如：
Not all bamboo grows tall. 并非所有的竹子都长得高。
But not all body language means the same thing in different countries. 并非所有的身势语在不同的国家里都有着相同的意思。
Not everyone likes the film. 并不是人人都喜欢看电影。
Not both of my parents are doctors. In fact，my mother is a nurse. 我的父母并不都是医生。实际上，我的妈妈是护士。
All the answers are not right. =Not all the answers are right.
2、no/not any没有；not a没有一个；neither（两者）都不；none（三者以上）都不……，为全部否定。如：
None of the answers is right. 所有的答案都不对。
None of my friends smokes. 我的朋友都不抽烟。
Neither of you are right. 你们两人都对。
Some bamboo never bloom at all. 有些竹子根本不开花。
No student can answer this question. 没有哪个学生能回答这个问题。
We have no (not any) classes on Saturdays. 我们星期六不上课。
It's no good/use trying again. 再试也没有用。
No，I haven't. Not a single. 不，我一个也没有。
二、否定转移：think/believe/suppose/imagine/expect/feel后的宾语从句如为否定句，一般应否定前移。如：
We don't think he can operate this machine. 我们认为他不能开动这台机器。
We don't read novels for an amusement. 我们读小说不是为了消遣。
三、and/or: and用于肯定并列成分之间，or用于否定并列之间。如and用于否定成分之间并列连接，一般否定and后的成分。如：
He walked on foot without food or rest. 他步行走着，既不吃东西，也不休息。
He can't dance and sing. 他不能唱但能跳。
He can't dance or sing. 他不能跳，也不能唱。
四、否定词组not a bit=not at all; not a little=much。如：
I haven't a little ink in my pen. (=much)我钢笔里还有很多墨水。
I haven’t a bit ink in my pen. (=not at all)我钢笔里一点水也没有了。
I haven't a few rubbers in my pencil-box. (=many)我铅笔盒里有很多橡皮擦。
He is too tired to go on with this job. （太……而不能）
He was too experienced not to know it. （太……不会不）
He is too ready to talk. （动不动就……; 轻易……）
You can never/not be careful enough. （无论怎样都不过分）
〖注〗当too…to…中的形容词表示某种心理情绪时，这时后面的不定式不表示否定。如：
They seemed to be too nervous and too anxious to leave. 他们似乎太紧张，一幅急于离开的样子。
