一、创设情境,切入主题
Step 1:Lead-in
Lead-in by discussing the following questions:
1.When you can’t find the way,what can you do?
2.Who will ask for the way?
3.What can you say?
Discuss the questions in groups.The teacher shows some pictures of different places,such as bookstore,market,zoo,museum.
二、展开过程,探究新知
Ask the students to talk about them for three minutes,and then let them present their results in class.
Step 2:Listening
Listen to the tape and find the answers to the questions:
1.Where is Jenny going?
2.Which bus will Jenny take?
3.Who do Jenny and Danny ask the way?
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 3:Reading
Read the lesson and decide the statements are true or false.
1.Danny’s bike is broken,so they take a bus to the bookstore.
2.Jenny doesn’t have a map with her.
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 4:Activities
1.Greet with friends in groups.Make up a dialogue between three or four students.Then present it in front of the class.The following sentences can be used:
What can you do if you lose the way?
Who will you ask for help?
2.Think it over and show us your dialogue.
Step 5:Write a short note
Suppose you are going to ask somebody for the way.Write a short note.Remember to tell where you are going and what you will do.
Practice for a while.Then let some students read their notes in front of the class.
Step 6:Come to “Let’s Do It!”
Listen to the tape and finish Exercise 1 together.Read the lesson and finish Exercise 2.
Work with your partner and try to finish Exercise 4.

Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks with the words you hear.

Read the lesson and answer the following questions:
