Unit 3 Warming up & Reading
教学目标
【知识与技能】
1. learn to make a plan about your future
2. learn some words and phrases about geography,such as Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, glacier, rapids, valleys. Waterfall. Plains etc.
【过程与方法】
1. from this lesson, try to raise students’ Engish speaking level.
2. enable students to gain some information of travel, and make plans of travel.

1. 了解河流知识,开拓国际视野,体验其中的个人态度,价值取向,
2. 参与合作学习并通过不断努力,体验,感受学习中的成功和喜悦,形成积极,乐观的学习态度乃至生活态度。
教学重点、难点:本课的重点内容是关于交通工具的选择和比较,以及讨论自己的旅行计划。而难点在于如何让学生积极参与讨论,形成良好的课堂氛围。

教学进程
Step1 Warming up(15’)
Activity 1: At first, I will show students some of my photos and then ask them to have a discussion about their travel plan. And I will give them a example at first.
Meanwhile, I will give them some expression of transportation, which is the important point of this unit.
Activity 2: I will show students some pictures of natural beauty, which we have learned last class(words and expression) .Then show them a video of The Mekong River.
Activity3: watch the video and learn the basic knowledge of The Mekong.
Step 2 Reading(30’)
Activity1;Fast reading (5’)
Ask the students to read the text quickly and find the answers to the 6 question below.
Activity 2: careful reading(20’)
Analise every paragraph one by one and then ask students to do blank filling and T OR F questions. The aim of this activity is to ensure the students have a detail understanding of the passage.
Activity 3 have a discussion.(5’)
“If you were Wang Kun and Wang Wei, What things will you take during your journey ” This aims at equiping students some basic knowledge of travel.
Step 3(2’)
Homework
Choose one place of interest that you would like to visit, and make a plan for the trip .
