Step 1. ReviewPresent one color pencil and ask students “Do you have color pencils ” Teach and ask students to master the new word “ color”. Pick up one of the color pencils and ask “What color is it ”. Learn and master the news words and phrase “ what color”, “black”, “blue”, “pink”, “red”, “purple”, “brown”, “white”, “green” and “yellow”. Understand the new word “gray”. Know about the new word “blond”.Present color cards. Then ask and answer between the teacher and students. For example: T: What color is it What color are they S: It's black/ red … They are… Repeat these sentence patterns. Finish 2a.Step 2. PresentationListen to 1a and answer the questions:What color is Yukio’s hair What color are Yukio’s eyes What color is Michael’s hair What color are Michael’s eyes Read 1a, teach and ask students to master the new word “both”. Then explain and stress the expressions “look the same”, “both” and “don’t have the same looks”.look. “look” 是个兼类词,既可以做动词,又可以做名词。 “look the same” “look, v.” “don’t have the same looks”. “look, n.” Look the same = have the same looks. Look different = have different looks.both 在这里是代词,意思是“两者都”。用于两人或两物。 They both go to the park. Both eyes are big and round. Both在句中的位置:一般放在行为动词前面,be动词、助动词和情态动词之后。如: We both have blue eyes. We are both students. We can both speak English.Step 3. ConsolidationListen to 1a again and read after the tape.The teacher and students to write them down on the blackboard. Then retell 1a.Work in pairs, then act 1a out. Finish 1a.Fill in the blanks in 1b according to 1a. Check the answers. Finish 1b.Step 4. PracticeDescribe the appearances of Yukio, Kangkang and Michael according to the information in 1b. Then read their passage to the class. Finish 1c.Write down the colors in the picture of 2b.
